The Lakers are seriously trying to trade for Chris Paul and Dwight Howard. Pau Gasol would be traded in a deal, but Kobe would stay put. If they can pull that off, forget it.

New Years is on a Sunday so the NFL gets that day, which is also Week 17. The same thing happened in the 05 season, which was the last time New Years Day was on a Sunday. Wouldn't the major bowl games be better on Saturday the 31st rather than Monday afternoon when a lot of people are back at work already? That would probably hurt the ratings. Granted, New Year's Eve probably isn't the best day, but it would be better than a weekday.

Care to elaborate on Fergie? I just tweeted him to say I was happy for him, Billy, and Ernie that their friend Ron was joining them in the HOF and that it was a long time coming. He replied with a simple "Thank you. Couldn't agree more."

Ronnie's looking down and smiling. I hope Pat Hughes does the induction. Ron would have loved that. Congrats, Ron. You're no longer the "best player not in the HOF" and this should have happened a long time ago.
