I don't know. Would you want to stay in St. Louis if you could help it? Even if someone paid you a crapload of money? Considering he has a restaurant there/bunch of money invested there/has talked about how he loves St. Louis, I would think pulling a fast one on the Cardinals probably would not go over very well for his legacy there. Probably be as big of a blow to St. Louis as Lebron was to Cleveland. I was being facetious. My point is that St. Louis sucks.

If people are stalking me, I pity them because they have nothing better to do with their lives than track down people who displease them on the internet. I'm really not that interesting.

You'll get nothing and like it. Seriously, though, why are you a Magic, Bears, Cubs fan? WHY OH WHY ARE THERE CUBS/MAGIC FANS? THAT'S JUST NOT NATURAL!! I'm a Dolphins/Cubs/Lakers fan. Don't think I've ever met another, though I do know another Lakers/Dolphins fan. My post was meant in jest. I just never understood the prevailing sentiment that because you like a team from a city, then you have to like all the other teams in all the other sports from that city as well. Fandom of one team (to me) has absolutely jack squat to do with fandom of another team in another sport.

For me, it was a family thing. It's what I've always been near. My grandfather was a Cubs fan, so my father was, and some of my earliest memories are my dad cheering for the Cubs on WGN TV (I have a few faded memories of the 1984 season) and it rubbed off on me. Also, I've been a Packers fan for just as long for the same reasons, plus being born and raised in Wisconsin means it's about 90% that you'll be a Packers fan.

True. However, most Bears fans I know in real life (both in Wisconsin and in Illinois) aren't the brightest bulbs themselves. Every fanbase has stupid fans. What's your point? i am not willing to accept your conclusion that the people who choose to be your friend are reflective of the bears' fan base as a whole I never said they were my friend. I said I knew them. And what about the legions of Bears meatheads calling for Cutler's head after the NFC Championship game when he was out with a legit knee injury? Those Bears fans were bright?

This is exactly what I was hoping for. I sincerely hope that the Cubs, Marlins, RSox, Yanks drive up the price and he ends up sticking with the Cards but killing their payroll flexibility. Sounds more and more like he'll go to the Marlins. At least we'll only have to face him 6 games a year instead of 18.
