    hey k-town who deserved the nl cy young last year? randy johnson or shawn estes? ....cause randy only had one more win, you know. thanks bud! That comparison isnt fair because its not just about wins in that case becasue all of Estes numbers were nowhere near Johnsons. In this case Carpenters numbers are close or better then Clemens so that argument between RJ and Estes doesnt make sense. I think it is still a toss up if Carpenter ends up with 22 or 23 wins and Clemens only has 13 or 14 and the ERA's stay the same I think Carp will win based on previous voting results. If Clemens gets within 3 or 4 wins I think he will have a good shot at the award. carpenter's ERA isn't even close to clemens' - that is one big stat the cy young voting is based on. the comparison i made IS fair, because he basically throws statistics out the window a la john kruk, saying that more wins = better pitcher.

    uh, the complaining earlier this year was based on the fact that you have a cakewalk in interleague while we play the white sox. morris' complaint was pointless, considering all the teams in the central play houston. all that was different was the timing. We had an easier schedule this year its not gonna be that way every year there was a year a few years ago where the Royals were much better then the white sox at the all-star break thats just the way it works out. The cubs werent the only teams that had to play tougher rivals. The marlins got to play the devil rays while the braves has to play Boston. Its part of the game some years the cubs will have an easier schedule, some years the cardinals will. um, i'm not restarting this argument. it's been beaten into the ground. it's dead. let it go.

    I am of the opinion that we should release Macias right now and stock up with kids on our roster. Baker would kill himself if he cant user any veterans hahaha. i wouldn't have a problem with that. i love the fact that this takes away from dusty's toybox. getting rid of neifi and macias would probably be enough to make him resign, haha.

    getting pitchers from the braves is never a good sign, but hey, i would have taken a bag of baseballs for hollandsworth, considering murton will hopefully start the majority of the games in september now. if he platoons with macias, i'm not going to be happy.

    just got back from class in time to see the bottom of the 9th. one swing? nice ABs, especially by neifi. also glad to see prior getting abused 2003 style. it's going to be fun having wood and prior on the DL to start out the 2006 season.
