  1. Minnesota recently blocked 25 schools for someone's who name I can't think of, and Danny Manning at Tulsa is allowing his guard to talk to only 3 schools. Obviously, this is all a PR nightmare. Bo's only had 1 player transfer before (deep bench player, not an expected starter). He went a bit overboard with the list. However, Uthoff hasn't been a saint in all this either. He waited until Bo was on a recruiting trip to tell the program he was leaving, he hasn't talked with anyone about it, Bo offered to fly back to Madison to talk and Uthoff declined, and Uthoff had someone else give his appeal list to the athletic office (the wrong person at that). I'm not gonna defend that this is all going off the deep end, but noone will remember it in 6 months, and barely anyone knew who Uthoff was 6 days ago. It's not Manning who's blocking the Tulsa kid, it's the Tulsa AD. The kid gave him a list of nine schools, and he granted permission for 3. And he's rightfully getting raked over the coals for it, too.
  2. I'm loving this new transfer to Xavier. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v604/snoodmonger1/628x471.jpg http://www.searchingforbillyedelin.com/2012/4/16/2953511/xavier-basketball-just-got-a-lot-uglier
  3. At least Bo is being classy about it. http://www.metrosportsreport.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6493&catid=184#.T4zultg-aZI.twitter :good: Seems a bit harsh, but rumors are that Iowa State possibly got in his ear. If he really "wanted to be closer to home", that's the only school that he should be upset about. B1G regulations would make it tough to transfer to Herk. He was Bo's top recruit last year, Bo invested time, scholarship, and practice/teachings. I try to consider it like a non-compete in business, or when businesses pay for someone's MBA but require them to stay with them for at least 2 years following. I understand the kid is only 19, but he made a decision and there are consequences. no, it's pretty lame of Bo. Sorry.
  4. wow. Great hire for LB, who I doubt has any desire to do any recruiting.
  5. cue the post where illinguy bitches about KU's bracket.
  6. I'd rather have talent than experience. I like what Weis is doing so far. I know most big-time programs see these players (and Weis) as failed retreads, but compared to the guys we were running out there last year, they'll be much better. I think they'll accelerate the revival of the program.
  7. I don't have his chiseled good looks. Lol, who does? I actually read on the phog he's a KState fan posing as a KU fan now. This guy is awesome. I just noticed he has a KU shirt on in that pic. He might be one of those KSU football/KU hoops fans. Kid is nutso, though.
  8. Former Missouri state rep is outraged that a suburban KC elementary school played KU's fight song on the day of the national championship game. Douuuuuche.
  9. He grew up a KState fan and is a prospective student there. There's clearly something wrong with him. ETA: article in the KState Collegian. http://www.kstatecollegian.com/news/prospective-k-state-student-comes-forward-in-syracuse-abuse-scandal-1.2678387#.T4iFb5pYv31

  11. I guess time-traveling gypsies stick together. I think the idea that UI's program is squeaky clean is pretty naive. Bruce may have never done anything untoward, but the program is a lot bigger than Bruce.
  12. i dont know if cal even needs to be dirty anymore. People are lining up to go there because they think they'll be the next rose/wall/davis, etc. The relationship with WWW doesn't technically violate any rules, I don't think. And while no one really knows what the hell he does, kids (and their handlers) are smart enough to know it's probably beneficial to get in his good graces. And an easy way to do that is to sign with UK. He's probably still cheating anyway. But I'm not even sure if he has to. I am disproportionately bothered by Dickie V actively recruiting for UK, though. He was imploring Shabazz to go there, which is a total joke. I wish he'd just go away.
  13. Sounds like Noel is Georgetown bound too. Bad day for UK recruiting. Shabazz was likely known to UCLA, I was surprised about Noel. Cry us a river.
  14. Helps explain bb's scale. exalt
  15. seems like an overreaction. wasn't having sex with that horsefaced chick punishment enough? Really does seem like an overreaction. I was thinking he'd get some sort of in-house punishment, maybe suspend him for the first couple of games or something. Didn't think they'd go so far as to fire him. I'm not so sure it was an overreaction. The fact that his alleged mistress got a 100k do-nothing job on the football team just reeks of impropriety. ahh, didn't know that part of the story.

  17. nobody could have left with such awkward dignity. i bet on the way out of town, he tried to give a student a high five and missed, and then tripped and fell down some stairs, [expletive] his pants in the process. damn, sulley, you crack me up.
  18. Especially with such a good, honest, likable guy leading the program. A wise man once said on here, "if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying." yeah, but you should at least be likable while doing it.
  19. Also, Indiana and KU discussing a home/home series.
  20. Robinson announces he's entering the draft and will hire an agent.
  21. Especially with such a good, honest, likable guy leading the program.
  22. One out of two ain't bad.
  23. early reports are that KU will get Norm Roberts to replace Manning, not Howard (who I would've preferred.) Does that mean Howard to UK? That's the last thing anyone needs.
  24. yeah, it would be easy to go all high-horse about it, but any program that could build a relationship with WWW would probably do it in a second.
  25. I guess he'll be going pro after one year anyway, but why go to a program that's a mess right now when you can go anywhere? I don't know. I thought there were questions about his eligibility anyway.
