  1. ku gutted out a victory against baylor. Didn't hit a three for the first time in 8 years, but somehow they still scored 100. They haven't looked sharp for a few games now.
  2. Do you think the Cubs signed Chad Fox to that minor league deal just as a courtesy to prevent Dusty from getting his paws on him?
  3. it cracks me up when stl fans try to claim that TSN isn't a total homer rag.
  4. I'm guessing being a KU fan you didn't need anything with IDKWTI to come up in order to think poorly of UI fans. I've seen enough of this story to know that Daddy death threat is an attention whore. I will concede it is plausible that he's bringing others to show support for him, but I did get a quote somewhere(peegs maybe?) about him saying that he hopes he doesn't wind up on sportscenter for having to take things into his own hands tonight. I mean come on old man. What are you going to do when this gravy train ends? Follow IDKWTI from city to city in the NBA doing his interviews for him, saying that the Raptors fans mumbled something racist about you? Lol, true on the first bolded part. And yeah, the second bolded part is pretty lame. Just win the game tonight and spend the last 5 minutes of game time chanting "wrong decision clap clap clap-clap-clap." You'll feel better.
  5. Last I read (this morning) was that they weren't going to have extra security. Either way, why would he bring the whole family to this game? That's just asking for trouble. Or attention. Or to see their kid/relative play a collegiate basketball game. If only he could've went to school somewhere close to Indianpolis. Then they could've watched him in the comfort of his home arena. So they're supposed to skip a nearby road game because some douches in orange shirts can't handle the fact he didn't pick their school? C'mon. Everybody needs to get over this thing. Yes, UI got screwed. And that sucks. But to say the kid's family has no right to travel to see their kid play because of it is lame. I woudln't have said a peep if daddy death threat came by himself as he does to IDKWTI's home games. Loading up the van and taking the family to this game rather than any of the home games is slightly peculiar wouldn't you say? Perhaps. Maybe he feels like EJ will need more support given the likelihood of a very hostile environment. Maybe he is just an attention whore. In the end, it really doesn't matter, as he and his family have every right to travel to any game they want to. I think the whole EJ thing has gotten to the point where it reflects badly on the UI die-hard fanbase. Of course, the message board fan is always a bit loonier than the average one, no matter the school.

  8. Use your indoor voice, Jesse. Ok im done arguing with Cubs fans.. I guess everyone was right when they said don't even try to argue with them because they think there always right.. Well im out of here... And if the Cubs fans were so smart how come they have no won a world series in 100 years? Thats pretty amazing... But nice talking with you guys.. I can see why this message board is a piece of ****... But its ok.. Good luck this year.. Playing for 2nd place should be fun (brewers). And I know the Pirates suck, but if we spend 100 million every off season we could buy this division also. If one of my students wrote this paragraph, they would be repeating. There's no way he's legit. He had parody poster written all over him. Or maybe [expletive]. Can't rule out [expletive].
  9. stuart scott is having chemo?
  10. Crap. That's a hell of a lot of talent for a school like Minnesota, at least based on raw numbers. Good haul. I think if KU can score another 9+ win season, we'll really heat up the recruiting trail. I'm excited.
  11. You don't have to worry about that. Since I was a kid watching Chicago baseball on WGN, I'd always thought the Sox had this negative vibe about them. Like they're a bizarrely-animated gang of cartoon villains from some Saturday-morning cartoon gone wrong. The live in a cold, concrete shell in an urban wasteland, talk a lot of gibberish trash and wear too much black attempting to look "bad." Meanwhile, the Cubs play the fallible protagonist counterparts. A community of affable smurfs who occasionally get it together just enough to keep on keeping on. Macias and Neifi don't play for us anymore.
  12. http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008802040351 Don't know if anyone has seen this, but a kid announced to his entire HS that he was accepting a schollie to Cal, and it turns out that Cal, Oregon (his other finalist) and perhaps no other school ever offered him. It looks like he was the victim of a prank. Here's another article, which features a hilariously depressing pic of him selecting a Cal hat at his signing assembly. http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080205/PREPSPORTS/802050369
  13. i didn't think it was really officiated in KUs favor. I thought it was just typical ed hightower crap officiating all around..
  14. Use the Rivals rankings, not the Scout. Scout is garbage a football. (And Rivals is terrible at Hoops). KU has done very well by KU standards. Got the #1 Juco RB and another 4* Juco OL. Our HS lineman are all huge and look to have potential. Got a big decommit from Neb's DL (Darius Parrish) and a high-rated spread QB who decommitted from Ark (with the unfortunate last name of "Pick.") Some other good talent there too. Everyone is 3* and up. Also, here's an interesting article that re-ranks the 2004 recruiting class based on how they've performed on the field. Pretty interesting, even if it is scout. http://cfn.scout.com/2/726003.html
  15. So what the heck DO you want us to talk about? Can't talk about Eli being good, because he's not. Can't talk about the Giants D being good, because they were only good last night. Can't talk about Belidick being a dick, because everyone knows this already. uh yeah we can. they gave up 38 points to new england the first time, and 14 the second time. what'd they do different? why'd the patriots struggle more to pass protect last night than in any other game this year? why'd belichick go for it on 4th and 18, but not go for it on a couple of 4th and shorts? i can think of 100 more topics more interesting than "bill belichick is a dick," which will result in 50 different people saying "i agree, what a baby" or "i'm glad he lost, he has no class" and nobody disagreeing with the sentiment. Jeebus, why can't we just talk about what we want to talk about? Belichek's dick move is interesting. You don't see a coach pull something like that all the time.
  16. My friend's father-in-law had amazing seats to the game. He said he was surprised by how arrogant and almost contemptuous the NE players seemed to be toward NY before the game. The guy next to him noted it as well and said he wondered if they were prepared to be challenged. Whatever, BS analysis, I admit, but interesting. It should be noted he was rooting for the Pats.
  17. I woke up sick, feverish, and irritable. I dragged myself to a Super Bowl party, bought some squares on one of those score grids, and prayed the Giants would win. I ended the night 100 beans richer and laughing at the Pats. A good night. Oh, and IMB is killing in this thread.
  18. Every NL team at Wrigley also... Cardinals at current and most recent Busch Milwaukee at County, Miller Colorado at Mile High CWS at Comiskey, the Cell Cleveland at the Cell Kansas City at Kauffman
  19. Plus now KU is right back in the conference race. Well, we were never out of it since we get a chance for payback in Allen. But now we control our destiny again.
  20. We look absolutely brutal.
  21. Heck of a performance. Didn't look rattled like KU did Wed night.
  22. Has that Tiller kid been getting minutes all year? I like him.
  23. You guys are playing them better than we did. I really like your energy, but I think they're getting tired. The missed FT and the botched TO that ended up in a Beasley FT really hurt you guys.
