Back in the dark ages, they used to have the derby, skills competition and old-timer's game on the same afternoon. I have a tape somewhere of the 1990 old-timer's game at Wrigley - they actually played real baseball, no softball foolishness. Seems like Richie Allen homered. Gaylord Perry pitched, and wore a jersey with a dozen team logos on the front. The derby wasn't even televised, a shame because Sandberg won it.
