Dude, like you said, its not the walks that made the cards beat us, its the timely hitting! No, it pretty much was the walks.

I think Dusty is a bad manager and I don't mind people complaining. Let's face it, there is a lot to complain about. But it seems like a lot of random threads are started just to rant on a move or non-move Dusty does or doesn't make. This then leads to people complaining about the complaint and so on until a moderator has to step in. How about if we (well, one of the mods really) make a sticky in Rants just for Dusty?

I saw a couple of guys walk out holding stacks of stadium flags that they had bought. i asked the people working there, and they said the bases were gone in 10 mins, would have been sooner, but they could not write them up that fast. the cub flags and "W" flags gone within 15 mins. bats gone within 30 mins....i dont mean to sound like a baby, but i would have been nice to see some other ppl walk away with a stadium flag, not guys with armfuls... dont get me wrong, its a great idea, but it could have been handled better IMO Don't worry. They will be up on Ebay in a few days for 5 to 10 times what those jerks paid for them. It is the same way with the scalpers. There has to be a way to limit this kind of nonsense. I'd only sell people 4 tickets at at time unless they buy season tickets.

The Cubs need a GAME from Mad Dog tomorrow. Dusty give them a tounge lashing after this game please. Either that or call up the entire AAA team and let them play a game.

I've tried not being a fan. To my horror, I discovered it's a disease that has no cure. Believe me, if I could escape I would have long ago. I tried to become an Oakland fan the first time Dusty started Neifi this year, but I'm addicted. As much as I hate myself for it, I'm addicted. :) That's actually a good idea. When do Frank Thomas and Co. play today? Focus on the minor leaguers. There is always optimism in the future.

A series against the Marlins should prevent that from happening. I doubt it. A series with the Marlins might prove to be more of a catalyst for said bender Maddux will step up tomorrow. He is the right man for this spot. I really wish he was ptiching last night. Jerome looked overmatched last night.

If I'm Dusty after this game I am going to go "medieval" on this team. The profanities would be a flyin' Walks kill.

This could get interesting. Another double switch. Bynum for Muton. Now the powere is in the line up. Dusty has them right where he wants them. They will really need a good outing from Maddux tomorrow. He has to be a stopper tomorrow or the Cubs could go into a free fall.

Last year Rolen was ran over by Choi and was done for the year. The curse thing gets old.

You could be correct. Last night it looked like everybody was feeling sorry for themself, including Len and Bob. However, good teams overcome injuries. This is why many of us wanted another big bat either in the outfield or on the bench. Instead we got Jaque and bench full of utility players. Nevertheless, They need to buck up and play good smart baseball. If the cubs fall apart I will blame Dusty and not injuries. When these things happen, and they do to all teams, it is the manager's job to get the team going. Double swithcing Walker in the 6th for Neifi isn't going to get it done.

They took Glendon out two hitters too late. When Rusch loses the zone he doesn't get it get back. He really has no business starting. At best he is a 6 inning pitcher. Each time he starts three pitchers are used up. And that is on a good day.

That's a Cubs fan talking. Pujols is a once in a generation type of player. If he doesn't have a catastrophic injury, by the time he is done he will be mentioned among the greatest hitters to ever play. He hasn't even reached his prime yet.
