    No radio/Internet feed either. Kilian to start. I know people are mostly down about him, but he looked really good just before he got hurt last year.

    I read a piece in The Athletic written by one of the Cardinals' beat writers. The writer was critical of the Cardinals' offseason and general approach in Mozeliak's last year. The article mostly focused on their failure to execute their plans. The best part of the article was the comments from Cardinal fans. It was like reading MAGAs after someone said Trump might have committed crimes.

    Jon Greenberg wrote an interesting piece about the Sox minority owner upping his stake in the club. He also briefly compared them to the Cubs. The part I found interesting is below I’he seems to be insinuating Pa Ricketts helped the kids buy the Cubs and he’s not helping to maintain the Cubs and that they’re not billionaires, Pa Ricketts is. I always assumed it was Pa Ricketts team but he’s radioactive so the kids are the face. Anyway, it could explain the shallow pockets or be an excuse.

    Today's game against the Rangers will have audio and MLB.TV. Probably not Pat and Ron though. EDIT: apparently audio only- Zademan and Coomer

    Look what comes out of the woodwork. It's amazing. Sponsoring leagues and building ball diamonds would cost MLB pennies on the dollar. But at least they have Jackie Robinson Day, a Hank Aaron award, and a Roberto Clemente award. Jesus Christ on a popsicle stick. When people talked about White privilege and systemic racism, this thread would be a good example.

    I agree with IMB, but it's always been that way. So that is nothing new. Wrigley traded Bill Madlock because he didn't want to give him a raise after he won the batting title. In 1977, eight year old me cried so hard when I found out. He was my favorite player. Things were a lot different then they are now. They used to close the upper deck of Wrigley on week day games. It wasn't until cable TV and Harry that Wrigley became a destination.

    I suppose I'm feeling my age more these days, but I don't like the Bears playing in a dome. At the same time, I don't like seeing any team play football in a dome. Besides with global warming, they might get adverse weather once or twice a season.

    If Smith turns into a very good player and the Cubs don't sign Tucker to a long term extension, regardless of the season's outcome, this will go down as one of the worst trades in Cubs history.
