  1. lol. You shouldn’t compare those two players. I also think it would be a mistake to promote Smith to MLB at this time. But he’s a legitimate star prospect
  2. Horton out. According to the announces he was working in the mid 90s and topped out at 96. Had a good couple of innings, one walk I think
  3. Horton is pitching too
  4. Padres radio team. listening to Gwynn Jr sounds so much like his father.
  5. I mean, it's not outrageous if he blows up this year and the Cubs let Tucker walk. He destroyed everything last year in the brief time he was in the organization. Before anyone wants to misconstrue or mischaracterize what I'm saying, I understand why they traded him for Tucker and the risk/reward equation. They had to find a run producer and they found about the best one they could.
  6. This is a tough one. Batting gloves so not Allou, lol.
  7. I'm still not sure why this is all that important.
  8. The biggest difference was the pitching, starting and relievers. I don't think we can make too much out of any two games in the season, let alone the pomp and circumstance of this series. It's 0-2 and not a big deal one way or the other.
  9. I agree with the criticism about these games counting, but it's only two games and the Dodgers. The thing that is going to hurt the Cubs the most is the new(ish) schedule where they don't play teams in the division as much as they used to play them. They have to tread water for the first six weeks or they are going to put themselves in a real bind.
  10. The Dodgers might win 130 games if they can stay healthy. The back end of their pen is sick.
  11. Some good names in this draft - Slater de Brun
  12. Yes, Dan is way too old to be mucking about on social media.
  13. yes, his splitter just disappears. Hitters have no chance.
  14. Dodgers make it look so easy. Shota looked great in the one inning I saw him pitch.
  15. BASEBALL!!!! Watched on my way to work.
  16. That’s why they’re bold.
  17. Yes, if they can have a decent April and May things could really start going. Their schedule is brutal.
  18. The Cubs walk away with the division, winning 93 games. Shaw hits well enough but there will be questions about his defense and power Busch plays gold glove caliber 1st base but doesn't hit Horton is the Cubs closer by the end of the season The Cubs trade for Sandy Alcantara The Reds finish in the Wild Card (not bold) The Dodgers have a historic season and cruise to the WS win
  19. I'm not well-versed enough to do a bracket for money, but I would not put anything on Auburn. They've lost three of their last 4 games. They peaked too early. And Bruce Pearl is a dickhead, anyway.
  20. I’m getting caught up on Bears articles on the Athletic this morning. It sure seems like this is Johnson’s team now. Poles was barely mentioned. If I’m Poles I kind of like that but I don’t
  21. Hal Steinbrenner crying PTR is the richest of ironies. Pun intended.
  22. No TV game today, but they do have a cool video of Suzuki taking BP with a samurai sword. Is that racist?
