I think the real question is whether he's ready defensively I suspect his defensive problems are overblown. Errors, and fielding percentage as a result, are virtually worthless statistics, and I'm not aware of any advanced fielding stats compiled for minor leagues. However, even if we assume that he does have defensive problems, wouldn't it be a good thing for him to have the opportunity to work with guys like Trammell? I agree. He had one really terrible game last year and I think again this year. Let the kid play 2nd. It's the Cubs only real option.
