  1. Where does Rizzo currently rank Among NL 1st?
  2. I forgot he played for the Cubs.
  3. Golf without spectators will be the same as golf with spectators, boring as horsefeathers to watch. Thanks for the quality input. You are welcome!

  5. Did the Cubs usher in the apocalypse by winning the 2016 WS?
  6. He was great on Tiger broadcasts in my youth. I think Len paid tribute to him, Ernie Harwall, and Ralph Kiner. I could have been a Tiger fan, but dad was all Cubs.
  7. This hiatus will give ample time for Brandon Marrow to fully heal :)
  8. We talked about this months ago when it came out.
  9. I'm now going with the under on 90 wins.
  10. Cubs not hitting so well for 1.5 games.
  11. He was all over the places and looked horrible. I know ST games don’t matter but that ending was frustrating.
  12. Meanwhile, Theo talking fire sale if the Cubs don’t look like World Series contenders come July.
  13. Almora is having a good spring.
  14. Somebody must have told him say something JD could respond to.
  15. Yup. I think as of today between the Cubs, Brewers, Cardinals and Reds someone finishes in the 76-80 range, 2 finish in the 84-87 range and 1 gets to 90+. Whatever way you want to order the 4 I think has a fair argument. Stacking up wins vs the Pirates is going to be important. To put a finer point on it, I would go as far to say that the Reds and Brewers will both be in the 78-82 range, and one of the Cubs/Cards will be 85-88 and the other will be 90+. I'm probably unjustifiably skeptical of both the Reds and Brewers though. I'm skeptical of the Cardinals and Brewers (especially the Brewers now that they can't relay signals at home games). I think the Reds are going to win the division. I think the Cubs will either push 90 wins or be a disaster by the trade deadline.
  16. Ross doesn't get to have gut feelings. He was brought in to do as he's told. At least that's what I hope... The Billy Beane/Art Howe Approach.
  17. The Cubs and Cards have some extremely long tails; St. Louis on the negative end.
  18. Fair. Depressing, but fair. Now that the dust mostly has settled, I wonder if Ricketts is a little disappointed that Milwaukee got worse and St Louis didn't really do anything. The Reds made a bunch of moves, but had a ton of ground to make up. It's one thing to have a roster that needs things to break right and choose not to compete, it's another thing to go into the year with the best team on paper (at least, as currently constructed). I wouldn’t be surprised if Ricketts has no idea what teams in the division have or haven’t done and what it means to their ability to be competitive or not. I think that's pretty obviously the case.
  19. Club option for this year and next.
  20. The poll
  21. The Pirates have like a $44M payroll, they should have plenty of money for KB.* *Not a serious post.
  22. Chris Myers (the dude sideline reporter last night, if you're unfamiliar with the name). They announced it at Cubs Convention. Thanks. I think Len does a much better job when he does Cubs broadcasts. For some reason, he seems much more passive when he does the national broadcasts. For what its worth, I think the 3 person booth is a terrible idea.
