    Michigan hasn’t really played anyone and won’t for a good long while, but they can put up some points with that offense. If no one gets hurt, I think they make it two in a row over OSU.

    This is the third game I’ve totally missed this year. That’s more than I can ever remember.

    McGeary, he was the D2 guy with video game numbers(1.640 OPS!) that also hit really well with wood in the Appalachian League. Probably not gonna add any defensive value so hopefully he keeps raking. Yeah, on the video I saw (I can’t find it on Twitter) the ball was demolished.

    Mervis would be a godsend if he can hit major league pitching. There is a long history of guys like him flaming out under the second deck in the majors, but he doesn't really fit that profile. I'm very optimistic.

    The most "un-sharp" bettors are all over PSU this weekend......gimme Auburn PSU is only getting 3, it's not exactly a gimme game. Auburn is poorly coached, and playing at home. I think this is the beginning of the end of the short tenure of Harsin.

    Why wouldn't Devers sign an extension as a condition of the trade? Is he a Boras client? I tried to look it up, but I couldn't find his agent. He's a perfect fit for what this team needs. Is that even permitted - I didn't think it was - anyone??? The flip side of that is - if he could negotiate with a team prior to being traded to them why would he? From his standpoint its got to be better for him to hit the open market and negotiate with as many teams as possible - no? Olsen last year.

    I will cop to developing an irrational attachment to certain prospects in the past - Hee-Sop Choi, Brant Brown, Dave Kelton - however PCA is firmly at the top of my no-trade list. Now, I'm 100% on board for not trading either. I'm fine for the bigger acquisitions to come through Free Agency. Want a hot take? How desperate is San Diego to win? Predicated on their belief in re-signing Soto - Tatis for Ohtani with various ancillary parts on both sides as needed. If they can use PCA to get somebody like Devers I’m in.

    I think the weather last week makes predicting the bear's outlook almost impossible. We don't really know what their offense will look like. It's almost like a week 1 game.

    Except it doesn't work like that. Two good, not excellent prospects do not equal a great pitching prospect or infiled prospect. If they want to go with I have too many OF prospects and try to match with a team that has too many starting pitching prospects, they might not find anyone to match up with. They will need to get creative to avoid a situation where they are changing a dime for a nickel.
