  1. i normally don't like rooting for a guy like urban meyer, but if they keep playing michigan or ohio state in bowl games, then i'm gonna have to do it.
  2. what we want to happen and what realistically might happen are two very different things. as for what i'm looking forward to seeing from the cubs, i have two words: geovany soto
  3. i'm pretty sure that by this point, every person in iowa has met each candidate multiple times. gotta love how iowa and new hampshire have such a large influence on deciding who gets the most important job in the world. great system, america.
  4. yeah, players who didn't make big contributions were "going through the motions." maybe they just weren't as talented as percy harvin or tim tebow - so don't let the door hit you in the ass seniors!
  5. i'm pretty fired up about my new mike richards jersey and two tickets to a flyers-pens game at the igloo in february.
  6. or why the texas alma mater is "i've been working on the railroad" or why holy cross' alma mater is "oh Christmas tree" :x anyway, pretty disappointed in hawai'i. They aren't as good as georgia but i think they were better than they showed yesterday. they have a rhythm-based offense, and i think the layoff hurts them more than it hurts most teams. there just seemed to be a lot of miscommunication between brennan and his receivers. Hawaii's offensive tackles couldn't handle Georgia's DE's either. Brennan faced a ton of pressure last night. true, hawai'i had some incredibly slow fatties. the georgia DE's were treating them like turnstiles - beating them outside and then once the tackles tried to block outside, georgia's ends would just fake out and go in. it wasn't a matter of strength, but speed.

  8. Yeah that was bad. I had stopped following that one. a lot of people put big confidence points on texas tech and i put 2 on virginia... that choke probably torpedoed any chance of me winning the bowl pick pools that i'm in.
  9. hey thanks for totally choking that game away, virginia
  10. florida: america's wang
  11. yeah i'm really impressed at kentucky squeaking by a florida state team that had half its players suspended. you should be. FSU top to bottom has more talent. With a lot of the guys who play a lot out, it let hungry youngsters (with more talent than UK mind you) play for a starting spot early next season. It's no surprise it was a close game. now that is some good spin... you should go into politics
  12. go hawai'i!!!

  14. that game was terrible, kentucky seemed to do everything they could possibly do to lose it.
  15. man i knew indiana's defense was bad but i didn't know they were THIS bad
  16. haha, the sixers went into the 4th quarter up by a point on the blazers, and lost by 25. got outscored 35-9, wtg guys! in news related to other awful teams, the bucks lost to detroit by a narrow 114-69 margin today.
  17. looks like indiana over okie state was not one of my better picks
  18. i got air force wrong, and will be getting usf wrong, so i could really use a fresno state victory here... otherwise i probably won't make it through the day in first place of the nsbb group
  19. But they're a top 10 team in the nation, right Meph? I think USF forgot to come out of the locker room after halftime.
  20. ugh, we lost to sacred fart.... wtf?!?!?
  21. Yeah hes got a fantastic arm, doesnt know what to do with it. Doesnt put any air under them either, they are cannons. Morelli has got to be the dumbest QB I've ever seen. Great arm, size, decent footwork and release. But he hasn't improved a lick in 4 years. He has no idea what he is doing on the football field. if i were making his ratings for ncaa football on playstation, i'd put his arm strength at a 97, his accuracy at 75, and his awareness at -13
  22. well, 4 people are wrong already
  23. i'm 12-2 with a solid 226 points... leading the group by 33 points and ranked at 99.75% overall. I've gotten my 32 and 5 games wrong, and I've gotten my 31, 29, 27, 23, 22, 19, 16, 15, 14, 13, 10 and 7 games right. Tonight I have 11 on Bama, but the real fun starts tomorrow with 6 games, and then another 6 on new year's day.
  24. i think miguel olivo is henry blanco, just with slightly more pop. neither guy can get on base to save his life.
