  1. Girl looks kinda hot. they always look hot when (a) they're acting slutty and (b) you can't see their face Didn't she pay for that in an auction or something? yeah... how do i get women to pay to make out with me?

  3. my fave photo of kevin kouzmanoff: http://images.gaslampball.com/images/admin/kouz_kiss.jpg
  4. http://bulletin.aarp.org/yourworld/reinventing/articles/baseball_memories.html I have to ask my roommate what the hell he was doing to run across that article, by the way.
  5. I'd like to formally retract this post. Thank you. I'd like to take this moment and retract any posts I made similar to that one. Poor Felix. Poor Felix and his .596 OPS over 240 career at bats. If he looked at all like he knew how to hit a baseball right now, I'd be more sympathetic. kinda tough when those at bats have been spread out over like 4 call ups and sporadic playing time. not easy to shake the splinters out of your butt and grab a bat once a week after playing pretty much every day for the rest of your professional career.
  6. change "hideki matsui or bobby abreu" to "turd in a paper bag" and it's still a done deal.
  7. lou is giving dusty a run for his money in the "veteran fetish" department... not to mention the "improper use of his personnel" department. other than that he's doing a bang-up job.
  8. yeah i am not pleased. you know this summer when there's a heat wave the cubs are going to play like 15 home day games in a row too.
  9. This looks like he's under orders to work on his breaking pitches. or he sucks.
  10. we're already thin on front-end pitching, so let's trade our #2 starter to add to our league-leading offense. the person on foxsports needs to think about the trade from BOTH sides, not just one.
  11. no, the worst case scenario is that edmonds has two good weeks, goes back to being horrible, and cub management clings to those two weeks as "jim's got it again!" and rides out his .500 OPS for the remainder of the season.
  12. and i'm sure lou will conveniently forget that the double came against the type of pitcher that reed johnson actually SHOULD be allowed to hit against.
  13. i have decided that, for the sake of my sanity and iq, it is time to get acquainted with the "foe" option
  14. oh i don't know. .391 OBP? 117 OPS+? ability to play many positions, including middle infield? those might be some explanations. Umm, Fontenot can play multiple positions? He can play SS and 2B of course. Oh, the same positions as Cedeno. fontenot was projected to have better offensive numbers before the season started
  15. sounds like his date's dinner is cream of sumyungai

  17. theriot the last 28 days: .370/.452/.480/.932 yeah, that's a guy you want bunting. why not bunt with lee and ramirez in similar situations, whille you're at it?
  18. aaaaaaaaaaaaand reed johnson is still Godawful against rhp
  19. as does Jason Marquis' trade value. his trade value was a puddle before the season started, now it's.... i dunno, water in a well or something.
  20. Did he really need to talk to him for 20 seconds before calling to the pen. What a joke Bud Black is. not really... that's smart managing, and i'd hope that lou would do that in the same situation.
  21. when he sucks, which will be early and often
  22. FINALLY the pens break through for an insurance goal... now it's bedtime
  23. funny how when rich hill "struggled" he was lifted from the game as quickly as possible, but marquis is allowed to go out there and throw more batting practice. i guess it's worse to struggle with command but be tough to hit than to throw beach balls at the plate.
  24. No, that is why sacrifice bunts that aren't executed well are stupid. no, bunting with your #2 hitter is stupid. or, having a #2 hitter who you'd rather bunt with in that situation is stupid. That makes no sense. Bunting with your #2 hitter - essentially trying to put 2 runners in scoring position for your 2 best hitters is stupid knowing full well this game may be called very soon? http://www.tangotiger.net/RE9902.html Slightly more runs expected with runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs than runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. plus that assumes that the bunt is executed properly. there's a much better chance of a failed bunt that results in a double play, pop out or fielder's choice than there is of a throw into the stands or theriot beating the ball to first. so actually the decision to bunt is going to cost you even more than that very small amount.
