  1. neither, i'd rather just beat the other team in 3 or 4 games and not have to face hamels or santana in a game 5.
  2. we didn't blitz dallas nearly enough in the mnf game... maybe they've realized that with a ridiculous cornerback corps (asante samuel, sheldon brown, lito sheppard) plus brian dawkins, they can blitz a lot and not get in big trouble if it's picked up every now and then. i hope that's true, because jim johnson has some hilarious blitz packages. there are some where you'd swear that people are running out of the stands to take a shot at the qb. btw go eagles. (this ends my participation in this thread)
  3. No, but I wouldn't have bet Cleveland was dumb either. Good move, guys. How's that 43.5 QB rating working out for your long-term signed starting signalcaller? bitter brady quinn fan face.
  4. The Cubs are the best team in the league, something they haven't accomplished in a long time, and we will always have that to fall back on. and at the end of the playoffs, that and 50 cents will get you a phone call.
  5. well despite my best efforts to keep expectations low, the overall goodness of the cubs has caused my hopes to become elevated, so any exit will result in bitter disappointment and, most likely, angry drunkenness.
  6. someone start up a bears-eagles thread so i can start talking smack :P
  7. packers need to abandon the cover zero package.
  8. i'm not sure why so few teams in the nfl realize that the fastest way to build a great offense is to build a great O-line. They don't make for pretty coverboys unless your sponsered by Pizza Hut. I think everybody realizes that a great OL is the quickest way to a great O, but building one is easier said than done. The Cowboys have gotten extremely lucky with their OL. Adams was a 2nd rounder that wasn't supposed to be anything more than average, Kosier was supposed to be just an average guy with the flexibility to play multiple positions. Gurode was a C/G out of college and started out his career as a G with where he struggled, but he really found his groove when he was moved to C full time. Davis was a bust as a T and most people heckled the Cowboys for giving him so much money. Columbo was a guy that the Cowboys took a gamble on. His first year he spent with us was on the IR, but we let him rehab and ended up with a pretty RT. The coaching of Hudson Houck also makes a huge difference. davis was awesome in arizona; people didn't realize it because the rest of the line sucked and their schemes are generally bad. the cowboys do a good job drafting/developing the o-line. matt millen doesn't know how to do anything right, but he clearly doesn't understand the importance of the offensive line. they very rarely, if ever, draft offensive linemen high (usually they go for the wr, obviously) and they haven't dedicated much money to it in free agency.
  9. lol, only on the packers? good call.
  10. i'm not sure why so few teams in the nfl realize that the fastest way to build a great offense is to build a great O-line.
  11. haha these mikes are awesome, you could hear ratliff's crazy scream.
  12. john madden loves green bay, it's the only place in america he doesn't look obese
  13. if they don't have elite RBs then i don't know what team does i think guys like LDT and AD are elite RBs. barber and jones are very good but not elite IMO; they may put up elite numbers because the offensive line is so great. just watch how many times barber goes 3-5 yards before being touched.
  14. good coverage
  15. no, you don't make big changes after being the top team in your league all year. as i've been saying for quite a while, theriot wore down heavily last year and it's happening again this year. lou needs to give him most of the next week off and let him get a little more fresh again.
  16. i don't think he's a great qb surprise, surprise
  17. i don't think he's a great qb, i think he's a pretty good qb who is made to look great because he's surrounded by a great o-line, elite wr, very good rb's and an elite te.
  18. ben roethlisberger might need to sit in a tub of icy hot this week.
  19. yeah i'm pretty pissed, i picked the aints and was real close to having a great upset pick come through. thanks for choking a-holes. hopefully gramatica is walking the unemployment line by tuesday.
  20. cool, mcnabb and westbrook are both out injured and the refs just missed a pass interference call that allowed the steelers to get an interception. aside from that, things are going great.
  21. the rams really freakin suck
  22. i'm a packer fan... at least for the next 24 hours anyway.
  23. yeah a bad team is a bad team, regardless of what conference they're in. every non-bcs conference in the country has at least one team that is better than indiana, hell the mountain west has four of them.
  24. beating indiana is a signature victory?
  25. georgia-alabama should be a good one next week. commence penn state/illinois trash talking in 3, 2, 1....
