  1. this years' team kind of reminds me of hte 03 team (i like this years' RBs better than jones/works *puke*) and that team ung almost a million points on the,, so who knows. BUT as good as our secondary has been (and LBs for that matter) a lot of it is because of the press our dline gets. And with no granger and a potentially hobbled mccoy, texas is a team that can expose whatever weaknesses are back there. Mccoy is a stud and i kind of find it hard to hate him. I would love for them to have a chris simms qb again that i could literally hate with every fiber of my being again how could you hate chris simms? he was OU's best weapon when he played against them. damned if he couldn't light up baylor and kansas, though.
  2. baltimore is the #2 team in the nfl? lol.
  3. they didn't get thoroughly outplayed in the "not pissing the ball away" phase of the game, which often decides the game more than those other three phases.
  4. i knew he was an idiot but this is really terrible.
  5. i am definitely setting aside three hours to watch the red river shootout. and i still don't know if psu is as good as they seem; winning a night game at camp randall is still no easy task.
  6. go eag... meh what's the point

  8. look not everyone is mentally ready for a kid before 18... i'm glad that ernie waited until he was ready.
  9. leonard little, 3 months.
  10. i'd go with.... 1. ou 2. mizzou 3. lsu 4. bama 5. texas note - i think usc and ohio st are better than a couple of these teams, but can't really rank them higher after their losses.
  11. next week i'm missing the psu-purdont game, though i should be able to know the score before the wedding begins (it's at 2 PM in california, so 5 PM eastern). win plz. also i can't watch the cubs game that day.... you guys win too plz.
  12. same here, which is why i think that people sticking a fork in illinois (mostly illinois fans) are doing so prematurely. they lost a neutral site game against a team that everyone agrees is top 5 in the nation, and a nighttime road game to a team that will be top 10. they hung in both games and were competitive - not really close to winning, but certainly didn't get embarrassed either. illinois will beat minnesota, indiana, iowa and western michigan. the big thing is, what do they do with their other four games (@michigan, vs ohio st, @wisconsin, @nw'ern). if they go 2-2 or 3-1 in those games, they should be headed to a nice bowl, probably new year's day. if they do worse than that, then they're headed to el paso or something.
  13. we just always lose there, and usually we get stomped. if ohio state was way down this year, i could see it, but they still have a boatload of talent and are still very good, despite the poor showing against usc.
  14. i worry about their defensive line being thin with all the suspensions and guys getting kicked off the team. i still think they may wear down against run-heavy teams like ohio st and wisconsin (the two toughest games left). two got reinstated today and should stay on the team as long as the university police don't find evidence to press charges. The team seems to have a ton of depth everywhere, which is a nice luxury. yeah they need evans and koroma, for sure. they're weak in the middle; baker was a starter and taylor was a good run-stopper who got regular playing time. i really wish those guys weren't complete morons and sean lee hadn't blown out his knee; i'd be thinking undefeated season. i still don't think we can win in the shoe.

  16. i'm going to root against penn state scoring now, so i can get 45 cents on centsports.
  17. they didn't last year against us, or against ohio st.
  18. that's because we already beat syracuse.
  19. the big thing is the o-line... in 2005 they had a good veteran o-line and this year they do too. in 2006 the o-line was young and lousy; last year they were better but not great. they were also bad during the early '90s. also, i dunno if i'd consider the offense dynamic in 2005. a lot of the points they scored were against bad teams; against the good opponents (ohio st, michigan, florida st) they struggled offensively and relied more on their defense. we'll find out how good the offense is when they face good defenses like ohio st, michigan and wisconsin.
  20. hahaha as that guy's running toward the ball i'm thinking "don't dive toward the ball, you're just going to knock it into the end zone." dummy.
  21. i thought it was morelli that killed you guys. he was the other part of the equation.
  22. hey it's a guy who kills us, let's leave him wide open
  23. was this in reference to the pass into the end zone. if so, you have to be kidding. left hand on pads, push pads out of way, go for ball. pretty cut and dried. not even close.
