because I don't care about it. fixed it's not hard to imagine why truffle doesn't care about it. :?: your team would probably need to win one before you'd care. holy cross has won plenty of them. the reason i don't think it matters that much is because there's a postseason tourney where you cut down the nets and get a trophy. i guess it means that you're getting a good seed in the ncaa tourney, but really if you finish 1st or 2nd or 3rd in any "bcs conference" you're getting into the field of 64 and you're getting a pretty good seed. oh, well i figured you were talking about psu....my bad, i sometimes get you and derwood mixed up. i root for psu also but more for holy cross since they're both competing at the same level. i guess maybe my attitude about regular-season titles is partly due to the patriot league regular season champ not being guaranteed a thing except for home court advantage in the PL finals. you aren't even guaranteed an NIT spot, unless they changed the rules.

I'm in the same boat. After the second or third round, though, I don't mind the board giving my team the best player available if I haven't submitted picks and my war roommate isn't around. i think if people are going to be away for multiple days then they should just PM a couple of people who will be here and give them 5-10 picks in order so that things can just keep moving along. even if you're 10 picks down in the queue it shouldn't take you long to come up with a list.

let's just start earlier that we did last year so that we don't have to go to speed round by late round 2, and if someone isn't around for 12 hours they don't miss their pick.

they bought the cubs and wrigley for $21M in 1981 and sold them for $900M in 2009? they sure as hell didn't go bankrupt on the cubs, that's for sure.

i didn't know you got a banner/trophy and cut down the nets for having the best conference record. i guess it's somewhat of an accomplishment, but in the grand scheme of things, a regular season conference championship and 50 cents will get you a phone call. as opposed to what? winning the Big Ten tourney? if you win the regular season title of a major conference you're going to be a top seed in the ncaa tournament anyway... or are you saying only winning the ncaa tournament matters? this isn't like pro sports where there is one winner out of 30 or so teams. i guess my point is that, when the conference has an end-of-season tourney, nobody really remembers who won the regular season. alabama had the best regular-season record in SEC football this year, but if you ask someone who won the SEC in football, i don't think anyone except for alabama fans would answer anything other than "florida"

i don't think BA will rank a guy who's average in AAA. if a guy is at AAA and it looks like he is likely to be a utility infielder, 4th outfielder, back of the rotation pitcher or long reliever at the big league level, that (to me) is still more valuable than a guy like kyler burke who could be a very good regular if he reached his ceiling, but is probably a 50-to-1 shot to pan out.

Hightower yelled at him first but that was pretty funny. As far as the game for the first half I couldn't be happier. Purdue has played phenomenal defense and has done a good job staying patient on offense. They win this game and they are back in the thick of things. They lose and they essentially have to win out to have a shot. a shot at what? Big Ten title I assume. regular season titles in basketball are worthless

the purdue loss was worse. the loss against penn state, they were up 11 but still had 15 minutes to go and were on the road. the purdue game they were at home and had the same size lead with like 8 minutes left. they would've won that game if they'd kept playing their offense rather than running down the shot clock to three seconds and then chuck up a lousy shot.

If you ask the locals, they would probably say when Bear Bryant's last all lilly white team made the mistake of scheduling an integrated team from USC. maybe, but i don't think bear bryant was racist.

yeah i'd like to do it again but let's do it with regular posters. i don't want to have some guy who posts once a year doing the draft for the 49ers because he's a 49er fan, and then setting things back for days because he rarely visits the site. if people have to double or triple up so be it.

There are four teams in this division that would wish they had that rotation, and the fifth should want it but wouldn't. yeah that's not a great rotation if you want to win a championship, but if you play in a lousy division it could easily be good enough. -
This plus the curling. I want to learn how to curl. Think about it, average looking men in the rest of the country are like Brad Pitt in ND. Lots ops for good women id imagine. Hell if i hated it i could still blow my brains out after trying it. yeah but average looking women are also angelina jolie in ND. If I can convince myself I'm with Angelina Jolie*, all the better. *Actually, I never understood the infatuation Jolie. She's not that hot and has been with her brother and Billy Bob Thornton. the flyers blew a three goal lead last night - at home, in the third period, to the thrashers. great teams don't do that sort of thing. i'm sure they did what they did most of last year too, sit back and play overly defensive hockey, spend all period in their zone, trying to hang on for dear life. that, once again, goes squarely on our dunce of a coach. fortunately we scored again and won it, but that will probably be our undoing down the road.
