brett jackson has sat out the last two games... hope he's not hurt again. dae-eun rhee sucked - 2 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 0 K, 2 HR. antigua was good - 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 3 K. -
so he's going to miss part of the season and their chances of winning a title are almost gone. wonder if he's wishing he'd gone pro. Probably not, as he would be on the Lions. i'm sure he will end up going to a great team after this season.

yep, chattanooga lost so they're out. the smokies need to win once to clinch a playoff spot; i assume they'd be in a one-game playoff if they lose both. -

If they go undefeated and there's (mass?) chaos at the top . . . maybe. i dunno, say BYU runs the table with wins at oklahoma and home wins over utah, tcu and fsu. isn't that more impressive than a team like penn st going undefeated with home wins over ohio st and iowa and road wins over michigan st and michigan? i'd say that BYU deserves it.

Not sure it was terrible. It was the wrong though. 4 different refs called it, so its not like it was a huge miss by someone. We have the benefit of slow motion replay, in real time it did look like a head shot. They should err on the side of caution with those calls. Unless you know for sure it was helmet to helmet keep the flag in your pants. I would rather they miss a couple penalties than have a DB punished for making a great play. erring on the side of caution would be throwing a flag anytime it's a close call.

i don't know about that, but this is the part where people start grumbling about how zook's teams inexplicably lay huge eggs like this one, and wonder why the performance on the field isn't matching the quality of recruits he's bringing in.

the game against penn st is winnable since it's in ann arbor and you guys usually beat us.

yeah with the amount of talent on that team, barkley is going to be asked to be the classic "game manager" this year.

Lee was "good" last year OPS is more than 100 points higher this year. he wasn't terrible last year but he really wasn't that good for a starting 1B. anyway, if we win this game, we can all blame lee.

Who cares what he did before diving and who cares that he was injured previously. He also appeared to be dragging his legs in the hope of making contact with the GKers arms, which certainly isn't protecting himself. This Toshack guy sounds like a complete dope. i saw highlights of a game recently, i think it was arsenal and man U (if i remember correctly) - some guy from arsenal was going between a pair of defenders and just went down like a sack of bricks; the referee properly assessed him a yellow for diving. it was comical when you watched it in slow motion.
