MSU lost to CMU. Although Central is probably the best team in the MAC, that ain't saying much. I think ND will crush them. you can't really judge mich st like that, though. they'll do things like getting blown out by northwestern and then playing ohio st tight in the horseshoe. they're always schizo.

tenn scored in the 9th to tie it and send it to extras; they scored in the top of the 10th but schlitter gave up a solo homer with 2 outs in the bottom of the inning. -
hey let's keep rushing 3, it's working out great. we're holding philip rivers to 10-yard dump off completions and he only has 2:30 and 2 time outs.

ugh i hope not. he strikes me as someone who will not age well at all. i can see him ending up mediocre within the next five years. -
yeah i can't remember the last time i saw him play this poorly. del potro is a hard hitter and i'm sure he's forcing federer into some of these errors, but still... this is ugly.

i've definitely never seen someone hit their forehand as hard as del potro. it's pretty amazing.

yipee they beat a piss-poor OSU team by 3 No, like all Big Ten teams "they are great" - until they lose, they it's "we're just in a down cycle." They are still going to win the Big Ten - what does thay say about the rest of the teams in the conference? No, the Big Ten is definitely weak this year to be fair, no big ten teams' boosters have the financial resources to match the money that the usc kids are making. every once in a while you'll get a team like the rays to be better than the yankees, but usually, the higher payroll will win out. anyway, that was a good game right down to the wire. thank God jaycee dugard was able to watch it.

darn, florida st just scored two touchdowns, the second coming on a fumble by ryan perriloux (lol). still, let the record show they were trailing that game with under 2 minutes left.

Is Virginia the worst BCS team? Washington State? wow i didn't realize they were getting blown out at home by hawai'i. and this isn't exactly colt brennan hawai'i either; they barely beat central arkansas last week.

i don't think we would have enjoyed that miami-florida st game as much if fsu had lost/almost lost to jacksonville st the week before.

Is Virginia the worst BCS team? i dunno, but duke lost to richmond, virginia lost to william and mary (both of them apparently), james madison is leading maryland in the 4th quarter, florida state is trailing jacksonville st (not even a good i-aa program). that's atrocious. as for the worst BCS team, i'm sure wazzu will be horrible again, colorado looks really pathetic (losses to colo st and toledo? come on), and then there's virginia. those are probably the top contenders.

4 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 9 GO/2 FO for cashner. i'm sure they would have stuck with him longer, but his spot came up with the smokies down 2-0 with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the 4th. cantzler pinch hit and knocked a 3-run double, smokies now up 3-2 with maestri on in the 5th. -
my concern is that his foot doesn't land anywhere close to in line with home plate. he doesn't get enough drive toward home plate and you can see his arm draw way back behind his body, then really whip against his right side on the follow through. to me, he's doing too much of his throwing purely on arm strength and arm velocity, and isn't getting enough help from his lower half.
