    just looking at the box score now, but wasn't that the first penalty assessed against usc (versus 9 against stanford)?

    msu won by 2 TDs and outgained um by almost 100 yards, but had more turnovers and were penalized almost 100 yards more. it's hard to see what would have happened in that game to reverse the outcome.

    psu's chances of making the big 10 title game would definitely be better if wisconsin loses this, but i can't pull for that. osu is just too hateable.

    texas had 38 first downs to 3 for kansas. and texas tech winning in norman and then getting blown out at home by [expletive] iowa st makes all kinds of sense.

    looks like clemson is about done pretending to be a championship contender.

    Ya, make fun of the team that was picked to win like 5 games this year because you still have sour grapes over last week. K-State has been smoke and mirrors all year, and it's been awesome. They could still very possibly win 9 games this year, and that is incredible with the team they have. i think he's making fun of them because his team beat them by 40 points.

    you can't see michigan state losing at iowa or at northwestern? have you not followed michigan state football before this year? psu still has games against nebraska, @ohio st and @wisconsin. they'll lose to wisconsin, so if the badgers don't lose another game they'll win the division. psu could easily lose 2 or all 3 of those games.

    to be fair to the voters, nobody really wanted to put them in the top 10, but they kept refusing to lose games and teams ahead of them kept losing, so eventually they kind of had to make their way in there. they were like a 2 TD underdog this week, which pretty much speaks to their true talent level.

    yeah yesterday i was quite annoyed, but now i'm actually just happy that the cubs have competent management that can start accumulating talent on a rather talentless roster. really this is what we've been waiting for through the years of jim hendry, ed lynch, etc... this is the best chance for sustained success that we've had since like 1905 or something.

    yeah that was inexplicable. i guess i can see using one if you need to get the players together and tell them what you're going to do on first down, but after that it's just running plays, what are you calling TO for.

    That's what I was thinking when I saw the trolls. I for one assume the night my team wins a championship, I'd be trolling rival message boards. Absolutely if the Cubs won the World Series then the first thing I'd do is register for a bunch of Cardinals message boards to troll them. Oh wait, no I wouldn't. I'm thinking that would rank about dead last on my list of things I would want to do at that point. I would be far, far to drunk to use a computer at that point.

    there's a jorts clearance sale at jcpenny's this weekend. i'm assuming that's why you'll be too busy to comeback to see the responses. or if you're in south county, i assume you'll be too busy trying to make bail for domestic assault that you won't be able to make it to a computer. Or he choked to death on the squirrel that he and his family eat on special occasions.

    so they're different types of d-bags. carpenter is a whiny bitch who embarrasses himself with his comments multiple times a year. zambrano is a spaz who alienates opponents and sometimes his teammates.

    I hope STL burns in a fire. I hope STL burns in a fire started by riots after Pujols signs with the Cubs! i don't, if it burns down then they could start over and improve it. much better keeping it the way it is now.

    Are you [expletive] serious? I'm not watching -- what'd those [expletive] say? Buck mentioned something about the 1945 Series, think it was last time both teams, in a game 7, scored in the first inning was the Cubs-Tigers in 1945. And of course, McCarver comes back with it was also the last time the Cubs appeared in the WS as if noboby knew. in mccarver's defense, he probably didn't do it maliciously. he just likes to talk about lots of stuff that happened a half century ago that nobody cares about any more.
