Reality. Look at the lineup and the starters the Cubs have been throwing out there, and try to say with a straight face that they should be winning consistently. oh, c'mon. look at the lineup, even as pathetic as it has been without Lee, and try to say honestly that that lineup is only capable of scoring a run a game for two weeks. it's not reality. I didn't expect an offensive juggernaut, especially without Lee, but this is bizarr-o world type stuff. Yeah, they have been in a collective slump, but you've got ONE guy on the team (ARam) who can be relied upon to put up an OPS+ above 100. I.e., you've got one guy on the team who you know is an above-average hitter. Barrett and Walker are above-average for their positions, but average in terms of any hitter. Neifi is bad; Cedeno (as a shortstop) can be expected to be below 100. Jacque is below-average for a RF but near average for a hitter. Pierre is below-average too, especially if he plays like he did last year - and he's playing worse. Murton it's hard to say, but it's unlikely he'd be much better than Jones due to his lack of power. This is a lousy lineup, there are no two ways around it.
