  1. Come on, IF??? This is Fat Glen we're talking about.
  2. Another question that could be answered by nobody except Dumbsty
  3. Judging by how fat Rusch is getting, I'd guess he has some great "movement" while on the can.
  4. He was... averaged just over 2 walks per 9 innings in his minor league career.
  5. Fun fact - Angel Guzman has now walked as many batters in less than 3 innings of this game as he did in the 66 minor league innings of his 2004-05 seasons. WTG Angel!!!
  6. yeah, his groundouts will go to deep 2B instead of shallow 2B
  7. Who knows, ask Jim Hendry that question, not me. Jacque Jones is on the team too, and I can't explain that one either.
  8. Yeah I do, because he hits a home run every 14 ABs, which is about 2.5 times more frequent than Mabry.
  9. Sample size. 91 career homers in 3501 career at bats
  10. But power hitters like Mabry tend to strike out frequently. Adam Dunn strikes out a lot, too, but his walks and homeruns more than make up for the whiffs. I think you need to average a little better than one home run every 35 at bats during the course of your major league career to be considered a power hitter.
  11. Too bad our #2 hitter can't accidentally walk in front of a speeding cement mixer after the game.
  12. Padres' long relievers must be excited at the unexpected chance to lower their ERAs.
  13. Boy, I'm sure a 2-6 of Neifi, Cedeno, ARam, Barrett and Mabry really makes the opposition crap its pants in fear.
  14. All of a sudden, Woody Williams turned into Tony Gwynn.
  15. This is not something I would've expected to hear during Guzman's starts. I figured that if he struggled in the majors, it would be because he was too hittable. This control trouble, I'm hoping it's just nerves, because his walk rate has been very low throughout his time in the minors.
  16. By the way, I have continued the Albert Pujols Slurpfest over in rants.
  17. yeah i was wondering when someone would pick up on that
  18. Yes I agree, this injury was extremely gross to watch.
  19. Uh, shouldn't you have said "when"?
  20. Gamer also works, or you can just talk about his intangibles.
  21. Hey, I got one complete dud of my own (Aubrey Huff)
