Not really, but in Coletti's twisted mind, Jones probably does make sense for them. -
I've seen two signings this offseason that I thought were bargains - Adam Kennedy, and Frank Catalanotto. The rest have been at or above what I would have expected.

well it was nice to see HC on TV, and fun to watch them lead for more than half the game. I hope they never go back to Durham, though. It's obvious that an inferior non-conference opponent will not get a fair chance there.

Make that two. This is just abysmal officiating. I wish these refs would stand up to Coach K and make the right calls. It's so frustrating that Duke gets this crap. It's not enough to have the best recruits and the home court advantage, do they really need help from the refs to beat a Patriot League team?

Watching sombody write Meche into the #2 spot in the rotation made me vomit in my mouth a little bit. Meche is a decent #5 or a bad #4. He's not a #2 and never will be. Why do you say that? Because he's not that good? That really doesn't answer my question. Well, I have a hard time seeing that a guy who has been below average for 4 years all of a sudden becomes a very good pitcher. Call me crazy.

Interesting... Yesterday on ESPNews, Tim Kurkjian didn't think there was any possibility that Bonds would play somewhere other than SF. I don't think so either, if for no other reason than he's hated everywhere else in America.

Jerry Crasnick from ESPN: YES. This is the #1 priority now - bigger than signing Lilly or Meche or a CF. Keeping the staff ace is a must.
