  1. not surprisingly, he said he's down to SC and PSU. My F5 button is getting a workout right now.
  2. who can actually see this thing? it's not on any stations on DirecTV apparently there's a guy from the Penn State Rivals board there
  3. haha now everyone on the rivals board is freaking out because the guy there said he was wearing a light blue shirt before and now everyone thinks he went home to put on USC colors... people really get too into this.
  4. you listening on Rivals Radio? Nope just hitting reload a lot.
  5. btw Derwood all LOIs are in except for Wisniewski's... press conference for Green will be underway shortly
  6. dunno but I'm keeping an eye on the Rivals and Scout boards so I should know pretty quickly where Green is headed.
  7. Walton has signed... I really would like for Wisniewski's LOI to come in; I think he'll be the best of the bunch.
  8. The things that have been said lately are pretty positive. I don't think it'll be Ohio State - they look to me like the 3rd place team. Probably the biggest thing PSU has going for it is playing time. After Austin Scott uses up his eligibility next year, there's no logical starter the next year (Kinlaw doesn't look like an every down back). At Ohio State, Chris Wells is going to be starting the next 2 years and Maurice Wells is a good backup, and USC already is loaded in the backfield and has two 5* recruits on the way this year. As long as Green keeps his grades in order and works hard, he'd get a fair amount of playing time this year and then probably start his soph year.
  9. Are you kidding? Career QB rating: Ben 87.9, Rex 72.4 Completion %: Ben 62.4, Rex 54.4 Yards per Attempt: Ben 8.25, Rex 6.66 TD/INT: Ben 52/43, Rex 27/26 You were right about one thing - statistically speaking, the comparison between them is a joke.
  10. please for the love of God just pick a college guy with a good chance at becoming a solid major leaguer... no more of this luis montanez, ryan harvey crap
  11. Boeheim said when Penn State joined the Big 10 that "Penn State will NEVER win the Big 10". He was pretty pissed they left and didn't join the Big East. Penn State would never win the Big East either. Hell, they'd be the third best team in the Patriot League.
  12. One more! Don't steal my guy Tree!
  13. How many players did you guys get from Jersey? I'd have to look. First time in forever that we got none from Maryland (got 6 from there last year) EDIT: According to rivals.com, we have 7 from PA, 2 from MI, 2 from NC, 1 from CA, 2 from DE, 1 from OH, 3 from NY, 1 from IL and 1 from VA. Shocked that there are none from NJ or MD. Those are usually "pipeline" states for us I don't think there were any football players left from Maryland after we took them all last year :D
  14. thanks. I'm really afraid one of them is going to grab my guy. It's happened a lot to me, though IMB has been the bigger culprit.
  15. can i go? my guy is still on the board.
  16. Well Holy Cross beat Army 70-54 in overtime... I thought this was some sort of mistake, but apparently we outscored them 20-4 in OT after scoring just 22 points in the first half.
  17. I'm with you. How do you get a League MVP to sign for $4.5M when we are spending $7M/yr for Jason Marquis. Even if it is arbitration, I think Morneau could have gotten more than that in arbitration. You're right, he could have gotten $5M. That's what he was asking for from the Twins. He also could have gotten $4M, which was what the Twins were offering. $4.5M is a lot of money for a guy in his first year of arbitration. There is a system, which is why Morneau only asked for $5M, even though based on his performance last year, he deserves three times that amount.
  18. i think my team is okay, better in pitching than hitting though.... there's a guy I really want but he has to fall through about 7 people before I'm up again. I didn't think Cordero would get back to me so I went with him in the 11th round.
  19. Maybe, but ND certainly was trying to win that game, and they lost at home. Unfortunately, a team like Holy Cross will never get a home NIT game, because our Hart Center holds a max of about 4000 people.
  20. Can you imagine the package of players (or prospects) you could get for Santana? Hence the reason why you see Cashman of the Yankees trying to acquire as much young talent as possible through trades. Because, realisitically, there will be what....5 teams that could make a trade for Santana (NYY/NYM/Boston/LAD/LAA, and no I don't see the Cubs jumping in), and if the Yankees want s a LEGIT shot at getting Santana, they need depth, and quality, and not just overhyping their prospects. If Phillip Hughes has another really strong year, he'd be a good starting point. Robby Cano too? But the Yanks' big problem is a lack of major-league ready prospects, which is certainly going to be what a team would demand for an amazing player like Santana.
  21. well at least you prove the committee wrong by losing home NIT games to Holy Cross!!! Oh, brother. When was the last time a team that got the shaft from the tourney won that joke of a "tournament"? ND played freshmen that game that hadn't played all season, shows you how important it was. Funny, cause from looking at the box score of that game, it looks like Notre Dame's two best players were in the game for 40 minutes, and two of their other regular starters played 35 and 23 minutes. In fact, I looked really carefully, but the only guy who got a lot more playing time than usual was this fellow Kurz, and he got into 14 games that year. Darn that internet, with all its "facts" and stuff.
  22. i roomed with a guy in college who went to Milton High School... I wonder if he knew Rich Hill. By the way, the photo at the top of that article is bizarre. But, it's a good article. I'm glad that Rich will be working on his change in the pre-season, but I'm still afraid that this incompetent organization will see him get hit hard as he's working on it and decide to start him in the minors.
  23. is this your way of saying that you're doing someone named jim?
