  1. especially since half of all current major leaguers will have 800 homers by the time they retire.
  2. probably at least half the guys pitching to him were on roids too, and a lot of his peers (hitters) were also juicing. So it's not like he had a massive competitive disadvantage.
  3. one day when i misplaced my cell phone and my usual IM friends were away, i asked CT to keep calling my cell (it was on silent, but vibrate) until i could find it. Turns out i was looking in the wrong room. That was teamwork at its finest.
  4. floyd is day to day for the rest of his life
  5. hahaha, chan ho park is the starting pitcher for round rock, and his ERA is over 5
  6. I'm not so sure with Jeff Clement still in AAA. clement is overrated... wieters will be the best of any catcher currently not on a major league roster, whenever he signs
  7. that'll be the lineup when the day after they trade for griffey; the next day you can take him out and put floyd/ward in there after griffey blows out his knee or shreds his hammy three innings into his cub debut.
  8. I'm not so sure that Lincecum-Bush andn Zito-Vargas are in the Giants favor. And unfortunately, the Giants also have to put up their piss-poor starting lineup against the Brewers pitchers, whereas the Giants pitchers actually have to face hitters that can do something productive at the plate.
  9. well dempster is up soon... i imagine if ward and floyd are going to be out for even this weekend's series, there will have to be more moves, because you can't play that shorthanded
  10. except when rich hill is on the mound, then they become one of the worst offenses in baseball
  11. another great job by howry... as long as he's locating that fastball, he's tough to hit
  12. against bonds that's called 3 feet outside, haha keep rollin bob
  13. crowd starts cheering on a routing ground ball to second, YAY
  14. pssst the scouting report on fox is to throw him belt-high fastballs and hanging curves
  15. would help to get a miraculous good start from marquis too
  16. Those would have been balls to Bonds. the pitches to bonds were more strikes than those, no question. Apparently in their preferential treatment of bonds, the umps forget that there's actually a team in a playoff race here.
  17. and now an outside fastball to derosa gets called a strike... what a crock
  18. no kidding... if thats the bonds strike zone then they might as well just put the ball on a tee and let him swing until he hits it over the fence.
  19. and of course they won't mention that the pitcher threw him five strikes in that AB... nose too far up his rear.
  20. The guy gets 5 strikes. Not surprising. I thought Gameday was incorrect. gameday is wrong a lot, but not in this case. The first one Ohman missed his spot (outside corner, but the ball ended up being right over the inner half at the top of the knees. There was no excuse for that pitch being called a ball.
