  1. <------ stunned that jock got a hit after falling behind 0-2
  2. a couple of weeks ago i would've been thrilled to see fontenot coming to the plate with runners on base
  3. this isn't a surprise... actually the surprise is that he was healthy for most of the first half.
  4. i know everyone's surprised that this is a low-scoring game
  5. they might have to postpone tomorrow's game... this one could still be rolling along at 0-0 tomorrow afternoon
  6. i'm in, and hopefully my team will be just as loaded
  7. they should trade some young prospects like braun, hardy and hart for some good vets
  8. A. You're an idiot if you didn't think you would be inferring that you thought Lee was better. B. If you are saying Fielder is better, and you prefer an inferior player like Lee, what the hell are you trying to say? You want to lose? A. Crossing the line to attacking the person And this is something new with him? he knows stuff about the draft, so he gets more leeway
  9. You've got to be kidding me. Throwing trash on a field (or any property that does not belong to you) is, pardon the pun, trashy. There is absolutely no excuse for that kind of behavior. To see people seemingly condoning this behavior disgusts me. There is no time, there is no place, for people to throw trash onto a field of play. Throwing anything on the field is expressly prohibited on ticket stubs still, isn't it? uh, didn't i say that people shouldn't throw trash on the field, but i at least understand why it's happening when the cubs or the umps screw up? Better work on that reading comprehension champ. Oh yeah...
  10. Um, he already is up. Did you perhaps mean Soto had the good game? nope, it was koyie hill. It couldn't possibly have been. It was Soto that was sent down to make room for Kendall.http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20070717&content_id=2092001&vkey=pr_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc Hey look up, you might catch that joke as it's going over your head  One of Iowa's games tonight was the completion of a suspended game... Koyie Hill played until the game was suspended, so he appears in the box score.
  11. India, and never Right, and wrong. I said never because I'm guessing he'll be traded. I assumed the question was when he'd get the call by the Cubs, and my answer is never.
  12. we need more players with this ability
  13. the gap between "hot" and "would hit it" is very wide for some of us and depends greatly on how much we've had to drink And how long it has been since the last "hit" I'm a married man...I only get it when she's in the mood. 9 days for me are you saying you've had sex nine times since you got married?
  14. Koyie Hill had a nice game (3-3, 2 doubles) with Iowa in tonight's game... maybe we should call him up!
  15. Alberta Cabrera had a really good game for Boise.... 6 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K. Tony Thomas homered in his Boise debut, and Donaldson has been on base in all three of his ABs (2 singles and a walk). He also stole a base and caught the only attempted steal against him.
  16. all i know is that the brewers have 53 wins and francisco cordero has about 52 saves
  17. what's the brewers record in one-run games, 35-2?
  18. Well, it looks like that guy Wen knows how to draw a walk, if nothing else. He walked 3 times today, for a bizarro 077/368/077 line with 6 BB and 9 K in 4 games.
  19. i've never been that high on veal, for reasons of his control. Hopefully he can get some good coaching and harness his considerable stuff.
  20. the gap between "hot" and "would hit it" is very wide for some of us and depends greatly on how much we've had to drink And how long it has been since the last "hit" I'm a married man...I only get it when she's drunk. fixed
  21. That walk against Colorado. I remember the count getting to three balls, and I was on the edge of my seat, willing him to take more. Sure enough, the pitcher threw one outside the zone, Rob held back, and he drew the walk. I stood up clapping, tears in my eyes. It truly is a moment that I will never forget.
