    Before today's game, the BP postseason odds report put the Cubs at 32.5% to win the division and 19.1% to win the wild card, for an overall 51.66% chance at the playoffs! The wild card chance has made a big jump the past few days, as the Cubs trail only the Dodgers/Padres. Average wins is now 88.6. ELO-adjusted chance was 37.4% PECOTA-adjusted chance is 53%

    I love it. tune in later as we make the same comments about the brewers game! :lol: I hear ya, I remember making similar comments earlier in the season when Counsell and Graffanino got big hits. At least you got a good hitter like Aram doing the damage and not journey man flotsam and jetsom such as Counsell and Graffanino. i also bitch about braun and fielder not being this good, though :)

    can't say i blame 'em... this piss-poor lineup put up 6 runs, and our opponents have been fielding the ball like crap. But we have one of the better-fielding teams in baseball, so we're not going to be giving away many runs.

    Don't fight it. Just go with it!!! We have a good team. :D until we at least make a world series, i can't be a true believer. that doesn't mean i won't hope though!

    I love how winning brings back all the posters... next thing you know JC is going to be starting threads. it certainly makes one more eager to be around during games and to follow the team closely. Lord knows I wasn't in game threads much last summer.

    CRAP. That can't be good at all. Must be an injury. :cry: Noo! Not THE DON! either an injury or trade. He had a bad first inning, but wasn't ineffective to the point where they'd lift him for another guy.

    i never assume that wood will make his next scheduled appearance. it's sort of a bonus if he does.

Of late, he's been inconsistent, though. And Marmol's been lights out in the 'pen. I don't disagree with your other assessments, however. In fact, you might be a little optimistic with Pagan. as most know, i'm big on hill, but i realize that many folks may not be as high on him as i am. But he certainly can be an above-average starter. Marmol has been lights out, but his history suggests that he may have some control issues. Those two are the most valuable players on that list above, though. Three (Theriot, Fontenot, Pagan) have almost no value at all.

    the cards have some BAD pitchers on that staff. looks like the dollar store bargain bin can't always pay off.
