  1. most of the reds lineup is BAD
  2. sticking with pre-season prediction... 2nd in division and miss the playoffs
  3. i like it, except for the part where jeff conine sucks
  4. what kind of pansy can't push through a torn labrum? cut him loose.
  5. hit yourself in the head with a frying pan until concussed, then make every signing and transaction you can think of. your moves will probably be at the level of jim hendry's.
  6. wily mo is still in search of the perfect fastball.
  7. Nope. Just off the top of my head, Larry Walker has to have more than Stairs. Yeah, about 150 more I think. He was close to closing in on 400. if morneau stays healthy, he won't have a problem surpassing that mark
  8. that describes just about every pitcher in the game except for the top tier elite. even chris young wasn't amazing for his first 5 starts. though he hasn't had a bad start in weeks. so is zambrano, let's trade him too
  9. that happened to a player on the (philadelphia) flyers and he played pretty badly after it happened. I guess he's gonna try to play through it, but I'd be really surprised if it doesn't cut into his production - especially the power end of things.
  10. I'd hang onto Bedard. His K rate has really jumped this year, and his WHIP is #4 in the AL. Aside from his HR rate he's been outstanding across the board... I could see him having a really good year next year.
  11. as my defense, i present a video of today's game.
  12. Have you seen some of the pitching performances by Marquis this year and Marshall and Hill in my mind are going through growing pains. Let's hope that Hill has the kind of September this year he did last year. The Cubs can hit a homer ever inning but if the pitcher can't hold the lead what good is that. That's my thought. The Cubs have the third-best starter's ERA in baseball. If the Cubs offense were as good as the pitching and defense, they'd be running away with the division.
  13. hey it's late 2006 all over again! rich has good numbers because he's pitching against bad offenses!
  14. maybe rich should be sent down to iowa until he learns how to get better run support
  15. i hate the mets
  16. Haven't they murdered LHP though? braun has... his OPS is like 1.800 against lhp
  17. yay fatty strikes out
  18. why was i not surprised when i woke up and saw the cubs had only two runs during a rich hill start?
  19. well the cubs won't score many runs... hopefully one-pitch rich can hold the d-bags down!
  20. all finals, cubs now 2 back of both LA and SD, and 2.5 back of MIL
  21. cmon rich, shut those loser snakes down.
  22. so the market size factors into whether a player is earning the salary that he's being paid? is that baloney served with cheese?
  23. everything's coming up Milhouse! er, coming up Cubs!
  24. In 4,3,2,.... Eeeerrrrggghhhh He's talking about smallball. What smallball are we playing? Scoring half our runs with a home run? Getting singles and doubles? What does smallball even mean? Wasting outs with bunts, bleh. We're not playing smallball, we're playing smartball!!!
