Rosenthal on the Fox site said that Ponson has quit drinking and lost weight. Would he be worth a flier? I haven't seen him pitch in a while so I'm not really sure what to expect.

with guys like williams & hill already on the team (barring a trade of course) the cubs would be nuts to sign ponson to anything but a minor leauge contract. if wood is healthy & maddux comes back, i assume hill will go to aaa but what will they do with williams? he doesnt pitch very well out of the pen if i remember correctly and he pitched well enough to be in the rotation next year.
