I've got to agree. I love listening to Ron, he's a HOF 3B, but by no means is he a HOF broadcaster. Pat Hughes and Steve Stone are better choices, but again I'm not sure either is there.

God bless Ron and all ... but he's an awful broadcaster and I'm not voting for him.

Amen. Ron is not a professional broadcaster. If he gets voted in, this whole process would lose a lot of credibility.

Ron is the "loveable ex-Cub", not a HOF broadcaster.

Burn him! Burn Him! Burn him!

You are going to need a lot of fire, because y anou are going to have to burn me too. Santo couldn't be any less deserving for this award. Great Cub, great man, horrible broadcaster.

Well, my dad still tells me that Jack Quinlan was the greatest Cub announcer ever. I still wonder if this has some basis in fact or whether it is not due to some strange sort of sentimentality due to Quinlan's death.

Nevertheless, vote Santo/Hughes/Lloyd!

Your Dad is quite right. Jack Quinlan and Lou Boudreau were the best. To this very day, I continue to mute the TV and turn on the radio, which is a habit I learned in the 50's.
