For my Public Relations class I have to do an image revamp. I chose the NHL. I'm going to use this information in my presentation.

Well I chose yes, but not because of the reasons you listed. The Flyers are probably my favorite team in all of sports, and I love watching hockey. There was no question that whenever they came back, I'd still be a fan.

Pretty much the same for me. I've been a huge Blackhawks fan my whole life and I love hockey as much as I love baseball. It really sucked being without hockey for a year, and even though I was pissed about the lockout, like Truffle said, I was still going to be a fan when it came back.

I'd follow it w/o the rule changes...I wish someone would let the Hawks know they changed the rules on hooking and holding guys up in the neutral zone.

Same thing. Been a Hawks fan as long as I've been a Cubs fan. I was going to be a fan regardless of the rule changes and such. I'll admit though, they have made it more entertaining.

It is more interesting. I do have to get over the whole thing of wondering why the hell the goalie played so badly when the team gives up 3 or 4 goals now... hopefully in the new NHL, 3-4 goals a game will be the average. Get rid of the GAA in the low twos or even high ones that we saw in the NHL just before the lockout.

P.S. to Wolf: I didn't answer your question because I've never been an NHL fan. Might consider re-phrasing your question such that you get NHL fans (pre- and post-strike), because your "Yes" answer sounds to me like you want that audience.

I became a fan of the NHL during the last full season because I was trying to learn about hockey (I almost went to U of Minnesota; you gotta know hockey up there). I went to a few Blackhawks games and am excited that it's back in full swing. However, my enthusiasm has nothing to do with the rule changes.
