Not only did Chris Burman basically root for Boston all day today in Game 3 of the ALDS, but the entire broadcast was skewed heavily towards Boston. And now the front page of ESPN.com.....does it have a photo of the victory celebration for the White Sox? Nope. It has a picture of Johnny Damon.

Rick Sutcliffe even said something to the effect of "I know we're paid to be impartial commentators, but you have to be cheering for Graffanino in this situation" (I could have the player wrong, but still...)

Heck, if the Yankees lose to the Angels, will Sportscenter even bother covering the playoffs anymore?

To be fair, Sutcliffe said he was pulling for Graffanino so that he could redeem himself for his Game 2 error. But the Northeast bias is ridiculous. I think Berman called the Red Sox THIS YEAR one of the greatest stories in all of sports at any time.

Five minutes spent talking about the Sox is five precious minutes wasted, never to return. I don't blame them.

I cannot believe ESPN's treatment of the White Sox tonight. If I were a White Sox fan, I'd be livid! It's not like they took down the defending World Series Champs in 3 or anything! Or the first to clinch the LDS?

Larry Bowa's and Brantley's comments were the only thing saving that broadcast from blasphemy!

Sox fans don't need a reason to be livid. Most are livid all the time and drunk or high frequently too. They already have a chip on their shoulder regarding the Cubs so this should be nothing new to them.

J.R., you must be very depressed. I feel for you man.

As for me, I kind of hope the Sox win the World Series. Maybe, just maybe it will have an effect on the Tribune. Maybe after the WS they will rethink giving Dusty an extension. Maybe Hendry will rethink his love of tools over production. Maybe, but I doubt it.

If there was a Cubs/White Sox subway Series, no doubt ESPN would ignore it to the highest degree possible. I bet it wouldn't lead Sportscenter every night.
