Definitely any west coast stars. Most of the major sports media outlets are based in the East, and they certainly don't give much press to players whose games don't end until 1:30AM ET

Really? I seem to see a lot of Barry Bonds on BarryCenter and Barry Tonight. Doesn't he play in San Francisco?

P.S. Ichiro-mania, Beane-ball, Vlad, Griffey while in Seattle, the Dodgers when they're good...these all get or got a lot of attention. West Coast baseball just hasn't been great in recent years, hence the lack of star coverage.

Cabrera has a ring and Pujols doesn't and that makes him better. It works for Jeter.
Haha. Yeah, I would consider Jeter one of the most overrated players of this era.

Quick, 4 players have an OPS this season over 1.000. Name them.

I bet everyone gets Lee, Pujols and ARod. Not many people will guess Travis Hafner as the 4th. He gets my vote.

For additional votes, I go with Texiaria, Cliff Lee and probably Ensberg. A guy with Ensbergs numbers should not have been an injury replacement for the ASG

Cliff Lee isn't underrated. He is an above average pitcher, and the most underrated 18+ game winner, but if anyone on the Indians staff is, it's Millwood.

Ensberg has Hidalgo disease. Big breakout year in 03, followed by horrible wasted 04, followed by huge year this season. He'll probably get a huge raise, suck and get traded midseason like Hidalgo too.

Brian Roberts is this years Mark Loretta.

For pitchers, still Ben Sheets to me. Third best pitcher in baseball last year, and no one noticed. His 18 K game was overshadowed a week later by a perfect game.

Mike Cameron is heavily underrated. Best defensive OFer behind Andruw Jones, draws walks and hits for good power with good speed.

Historically: Frank Thomas and Jeff Bagwell will probably be underrated as hell.
