With Prior throwing about 7 million pitches this season, wouldn't tonight have been a good night to bring in Hill in the 5th or so and give him a chance to throw 3 to 4 innings?

if by "throttle down" you mean "completely ignore anything that affects the long term health of our pitchers", i think you've hit the nail on the head

So the Cubs are going to finish behind the Brewers, or as I call them "The Anti-Baker team", and yet Baker will be REWARDED with a two yr extension. Sounds fair.

 

So when should the Cubs present the Cards the 2006 NL Central Division trophy? And how many games in front of Pittsburgh will Hendry allow Baker to mismanage the team to, before Hendry realizes "Baker ain't the answer?"

 

Dusty has inflicted unspeakable pain and suffering upon this fanbase. Somehow, the "general manager" isn't nearly as broken up as we are over the idiocy-induced collapse of the foundational talent he put together.

 

Hendry should be fired on the spot the moment he begins talks for an extension.
