Looking from the box scores it looks like Rusch was indeed a one hit wonder and IMO should not be on this team next year. He blows.

 

Someone in the transactions forum one day said Jarrod Washburn was all smoke and mirrors and I've flet the same is true about Rusch. It appears last year was a fluke because this is the real Glendon Rusch, his numbers this year mirror his career numbers.

I will be pissed if he is still a cub come next season.

At this point he'd be nuts not to exercise the option, but there's always a dumb GM out there willing to overpay for lefties.

The good thing is this team doesn't seem to have quit on Dusty at all, he's got them playing their best and getting the most out of them with his motivational ploys, just like last year.

yes can i please hear from the posters that were arguing that rusch should be starting instead of hill because he was pitching better....i believe this will put him over a 10.00 era for his last 6 appearances. obviously it's harder to tell if veterens aren't ready for the majors

good thing the kids didn't play today...the cubs owe it to their fans to win as many games as possible.

 

Give Dusty a break. I mean, he hasn't missed the postseason in something like 25 years. He doesn't know how to manage a losing team. Certainly, it isn't from a lack of direction or managerial leadership because Dusty always keeps a happy clubhouse. Uh, except for last year. And, there was that whole booing thing this year. But, irrespective of those things, there is a reason there is a league for AAA players. They simply aren't ready.

 

Oh, and Cedeno and Murton made him look bad yesterday, so they have to sit today.

Honestly I was thinking he would turn it around. I think he needs 4 or 5 more strats to work the kinks out.
