Why bring up a SS when a 3B is needed. I really hope Nomar isn't going to be playing 3B everyday when Ramirez is DL'ed. At least Macias is staying on the bench. Why not Fontenot or McClain?

Can Ronny play 3rd, or will he just continue to rot on the bench? Or will Neifi move to 3rd and Ronny at short? I wouldn't mind him having a 2-week, no pressure tryout.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought Cedeno had played some 3rd in the minors.

I'm expecting that Macias will start at 3rd and Cedeno will rot on the bench. The only question is what stupid spot in the lineup will we find the gremlin in.

I would expect nothing less than Macias at 3B and Neifi at SS (as long as Nomar is out) with Cedeno being a bench guy getting the occassional pinch hit duty or maybe even a *gasp* spot start at SS every blue moon.

 

Do any of you really think Cedeno will be put in the starting lineup regularily over Perez or Macias?

You were close. Looks like it will be Nomar at 3rd today with Ronny starting at SS. We'll see how Nomar does at 3rd base today.

Cedeno has a cannon compared to Neifi. I've watched the two play catch several times during pre-game warm ups. Cedeno has a gun that is almost always right on the money. Neifi throws rainbows that are all over the place. If Lee wasn't our 1B man he'd have a ton of throwing errors. There is a lot more to transitioning from SS to 3B than arm strength, but I think Cedeno would be a better fit (while ARam is on the DL obviously). At least he'd get regular playing time.

 

Wait, I forgot about Macias. Please, Dusty, don't do it!!
