I'd sure love to see Aramis Ramirez put on a really good stretching and flexibility training program this offseason - in fact, to tell you the truth, I'd rather see many of our guys work on stretching and flexibility rather than pumping iron.

That would take extra effort and since the Cubs fired the one trainer that made them work too hard, I doubt it'll happen.

Can Ryno be some sort of training instructor? He doesn't have the degree, but he does have the work ethic and did the regimen throughout his playing career.

From what I've read Ryno doesn't seem to want to be a coach with a team the whole year and that is what it would take. I'd like to see him there instead of Sonny Jackson or whoever is the inf coach for the Cubs.

SS Neifi

3B Cedeno

Cedeno certainly has the arm for 3rd. It may be the only way he can get playing time under Dusty.

NOT

GONNA

HAPPEN

Dusty would never play Cedeno at 3rd over Macias.

Even if Ramirez misses only a few days and he's not put on the disabled list, the Cubs should still call someone up. Our bench is already short by having 12 pitchers on staff. We can't afford to be minus another bat. So even if Ramirez is not DL'd, the Cubs should send down Wellemeyer and bring up a bat.

My choice would probably be Fontenot.

Just what we need, a lineup with Perez, Macias, Patterson, and Blanco in addition to the pitcher's spot. Viewers will think they're watching the Little League World Series.

If Ramirez goes on the DL does it really matter who plays 3rd? Perhaps two weeks of seeing Macias play 3rd will be enough for the Cubs to not re sign him.

Fontenot?

I'd like to see that but I wouldn't be surprised if the Cubs called up Kelton instead....for the righty bat.

It'll probably be Fontenot. Kelton isn't on the 40-man, while Fontenot is. I fully expect Macias to get all the starts, though.

It would be interesting to see the Cubs do something crazy like add Matt Craig to the 40-man and promote him from West Tenn.

That's right I forgot Kelton wasn't on the 40 man. I was wrong.
