so just put 'em down already, watching the suffering is unbearable. And let us, the fans, move on to football or whatever other Fall pursuits we would like to partake of.

*sigh!* [-(

Dusty Baker for President!!! and Cubs "office management" team for his Chiefs of Staff! \:D/

I mean, he does so well at being a "players manager" and a "master motivator", he'll be great in the Oval Office!!! His team is playing SOOO well right now!

Do we really need these after every single loss? Couldn't this go in rants?

Just ignore the post. As for me, I generally don't post anything baseball in Rants, because it doesn't get read, much less dis/agreed with.

Moving is for the mods to decide.

I don't know, I think it is a trenchant observation. They are like a horse with a broken leg.

They are also like...

...an automobile without brakes.

...a maggot infested dung heap.

...the feeling you get the next morning after a tequila binge.

...an anal fungus.

...a crust-infested scab being preyed upon by blood thirsty gnats.

...having a bowling ball rolled into your groin.

...a raging migraine headache.

...the comedic stylings of Steve Urkel.

...milk way past its expiration date.

...tuberculosis.

...Joe Carter on color commentary.

Feel free to provide your own.

I think you mean that its "a runaway train that hit the edge of the canyon (2 games back) and is now free-falling to a certain doom as we speak".

Yeah, but that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it? :-)

 No, but this Cubs team doesn't really make for "rolling off the tongue" either.

Watching the current losing streak-crap from the Cubs is like rewatching the whole Kenny Rogers-attacks-cameraman incident, over and over and over again. You feel extremely embarrassed for all parties involved, but you feel like Kenny Rogers/Cubs got/are getting what they deserved for doing what they did/are doing.

Suspension for Rogers = Losing for Cubs

But Rogers will be back tomorrow, will the Cubs?
