Hendry's Contract

Jim Hendry is in the hot seat.

 

He knew this season wasen't going to go well, by eating the contract of Sosa, and not resigning Alou, it was pretty obvious.

 

I think next year Hendry HAS to go all out, or he'll be fired. I also think Baker's gonna be dumped this season, or in the off-season, because Hendry has to pull tricks in order for the 2006 Cubs to do wonders.

I just read on Cubs.com that Hendry and Bakers contract are both up in 2006.

 

Yeah, I read that also. And I found it particularly interesting that Dusty was the one to point that out. I'm not sure what that means, but it felt like Dusty was saying that their destinies were tied together.

 

Note to Jim Hendry: PLEASE disentangle yourself from this self-aggrandizing albatross. Dusty Baker will not find you a better job in a different organization, and even if he's found out where the proverbial bodies are buried in this organization or your own life (if something like that exists), sticking with him isn't worth it.

 

Baker will sell you out in a heartbeat, Jim. Do the right thing for the organization and the fans and get him out and get the club the talent it needs.
