One would think they'd have cancelled by now if that's the case. They're not going to cancel at 9 only to have the rain stop as people walk out the door.

Haha, I believe it was Angel Hernandez (sp) who was practically screwing the Cubs out of the game with really bad calls. Then the ex-NFL/Bear DT Steve Mongo (You might recall seeing him on WCW) came into the booth to do the 7th inning stretch, and he just literally talked smack to Hernandez, and Hernandez was facing Mongo and both of them had some type of a stare-down before Mongo went to sing.

weather update from the far, far NW burbs...

 

rain stopped here about 10 minutes ago. this storm was heading in a SE direction, so barring the lake holding the rain in place, it should stop raining at Wrigley in about 1/2 hour. its also kinda chilly, quite refreshing really.

It's possible. But also the Royals game is also in a Rain Delay, and they're doing the "Rain Delay" promo as well, so it could be possible that the Cubs and Royals really want to get those games in, if necessarly. I'm sure the Giants and Cubs would rather not play a double-header, given the fact that they'll have to fly to Milwaukee.

 

Edited: It stopped raining in KC, and the game is almost underway, so hopefully the same in Chicago as well.
