Don't care what the standings say. The Nats are crashing and burning. The Cubs don't need to chase them. They just need to step aside so they don't get hit on the head as Washington free falls down the standings. Houston and the Cubs will decide the wild card. They're in better shape than NY, Philly and Florida.
As long as they're ahead of the Cubs in the standings the Cubs are chasing them. Just because they're slumping now doesn't necessarily mean they can't right themselves and go on another hot streak. The Cubs themselves are proof of that; they've had a couple of bad stretches this year and managed to rebound.

Washington's done. I'll stand by that.

The Cubs arenn't "chasing" anyone. I hate that term in sports. What we do has no effect on what the Nationals or the Braves, or the Phillies are doing, as long as we aren't playing them. We're "chasing" the Giants for the next two days, and then after that we're "chasing" someone else.

I whole-heartedly disagree. I fully expect the Nats to finish under .500.

We're 1 game back.

Thanks, a lot.

I'd say that looks like a very favorable schedule for us.

And, where did you get that? So, I can look it up for myself in the future.
