Crasnik on Cubs making a trade (not big news)

Jim Hendry is trying, but he's like a lot of GMs who don't want to trade prospects for temporary solutions. I hate to say that Jody Gerut-for-Jason Dubois is his big deal, but let's put it this way: I doubt they're getting Adam Dunn or Austin Kearans.

 

Not encouraging if you were hoping for something...unless you belive Crasnik is subject to the "Gammons Rule of Rumors".

There was an odd rumor that the Nats' were interested in Milton from Cincy. But, Cincy wants no part of dealing with Bowden b/c of their past history. My thinking is this, Milton's contract was probably the worst of many poor signings last off-season, Washington might be offering a "get out of jail free card" and you're too stubborn to improve your club by getting rid of a horrible contract and saving money (which is something they lack in general). I have no understanding why they would let that get in the way of improving the team.
