Have I mentioned that I don't like Burnitz hitting 4th at all? Not that his contribution hasn't been solid, but ARam should always hit cleanup...

Lee is 1 RBI away from leading all CROWN CROWN CROWN categories.

He will get that RBI in his next at-bat.

AHEM...

I've noticed a trend with this team -- it's anecdotal, but it seems that the Cubs start getting too anxious after a couple of games of doing well. A lot of first pitch swings tonight -- at junk, too. Burnitz, by the way, swung at junk for that DP.

Quality start for Prior so far. Fred, where do the Cubs stand in quality starts compared to the MLB? NL?

We've got 50 QS in 92 games. Don't know how that compares with the league.

good god Ramirez and Casey need to race right now. I am sure one of them has to be the slowest man ever. Edited by illiniguy

I think you're 25 pages late on that one.

I have been playing MVP Baseball 2003 recently and nothing makes me smile more than nomar to walker to lee dp. Walker is my favorite 2b since sandberg and i would hate to see him traded,

That makes for some list..

Let's see.. Rey Sanchez, Todd Haney, Jose Hernandez, Jason Maxwell, Mickey Morandini, Chad Meyers, Eric Young.. Hill, Grudz..

Any others who have spent time at 2B? I know I don't have anywhere near all of them..

Heh, that's as far back as I can go.. I started watching in 95 at age 12, so that's all I can remember first hand..

Lets go with favorite cub overall since sandberg. As much as i like lee, I am a huge fan of second basemen. It was my position in little league and Sandberg was like my idol. Never really took to Sammy either.
