Sounds like Washington will keep Church. They are moving him to LF, so Wilson can play CF. Wilkerson is moving to 1B for the injured Nick Johnson - his heel injury sounds very serious - that could be a big blow to them.

How serious is it considering he was supposed to start a minor league assignment a few days ago. now I know he didn't start it and is out "indefinitely" but they would have never said he was going to start the rehab assignment if he wasn't showing some signs of recovery.

Not sure how well this will work out for the Nats since RFK Stadium has yielded fewer home runs this season than any other park.

 

Rumor has it the Nats may try to package Ryan Church (who they think has played above his ability) and Tony Armas Jr. to get a solid starter.
