"I said it before and I'll say it again, put Pujols on the Cubs, and they have 55 wins, put Lee on the Cardinals and they're a .500 team"

Joe Morgan or not...who knows. You have about as much credibility as anyone else on this board. I just ask you to put some facts behind this statement because I just don't see it.

Looking at their stats they are very close in almost everything. DLee has a higher average, slugging, OBP, and OPS. More doubles, triples, HR's, hits, SB's...and most would say he's a better fielder (although Pujols is very good himself). I don't see Pujols accounting for 13 more wins with this team.

I'm just asking because I don't know. How does Pujols, with very similar stats, make this team 13 wins better?

Thanks,

ColumbusCub...now in cincy

actually, I think that if DLee was on the Cardinals, his number would be different... he wouldn't even be near the other players, he would be way to far ahead of them. His RBI total would prob. be near 100. If Lee was on the Cards and having the same season, they may be over 60 wins.

If this isn't Joe Morgan: Nice impression. Spot on. This is exactly the kind of drivel that we're used to hearing from him.

If his is Joe Morgan: WTF? This statement is just, plain silly. You do realize you're talking a 12 game difference, right? Would Poo-holes fix our bullpen? Is he an amazing miracle worker that could have healed our #1 pitcher, #2 pitcher, and our Shortstop? (I would make a Dusty Baker comment but that horse is dead.) I can't believe statements like this pass for "expert" analysis.

Besides, if you're going to comment on a situation, why don't you deal with your classless jealousy of Ryno? This, we'd all be happy to discuss with you.
