The Cubs are still on pace for 90 wins.  Which is impressive considering the mammoth pitching issues all year.  If they just had average pitching this year where would they be?  95 wins?

in terms of actual runs allowed, we do have league average pitching. that's the problem

That's because of the defense.  So league average run prevention, but not league average pitching.
