Two of the best curves in the system in Hill and Marshall!

Daytona: RHP Alfredo Polanco (Daytona debut, Peoria: 3-0, 5.59 ERA)

Did Polanco start any games for Peoria other than the second game of the recent doubleheader?

I posted this in yesterday's game thread, but Eric Patterson will be interviewed on the pre-game show for the Chiefs at 6 pm tomorrow.

Go Go Lefty starters.

yeah baby!

No, that was his only start for Peoria.

Nate Boliva passed along a brief update on Alberto Garcia: he's rehabbing in Mesa and just working on maintaining his upper body strength.

The Eric Patterson interview is up in mp3 format for download at http://s41.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3CADX2FJECQUR3D2S43BTDDAV2. It's ~4:40 and ~4.4mps.

A Patterson sac fly ties the game at 1 in the bottom of the 3rd.

Sweet. Thanks. I missed the interview by a few minutes.

Bases loaded with nobody out and they get just one. Harvey grounds into the 5-4-3 DP to end the inning.

The Jaxx are down 3-2 in the middle of the 5th. Marshall has given up 3 ER: In the 3rd, he gave up back-to-back doubles (the first one was a very close play at 2nd base). The second run of the third scored on a RBI groundout. The runs snapped Marshalls 10+ inning scoreless streak.

In the 4th, Marshall gave up a 2-out double and an RBI-single.

Sing scored the first Jaxx run in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Reyes hit a squib IF single to score the Jaxx second run in the bottom of the 4th. I'm guessing Sean's night is over. Sorry, I don't have his line score.

Well, Marshall came out for the 6th and has a QS:

6 IP, 3 ER, 4 H, 2 BB, 8 K, 3.18 ERA for WT

Jaxx down 3-2 going to the bottom of the 6th, RHP Federico Baez is warming up in the pen. I'm off to the gym, so I can't give anymore updates.

Eric has a single, a sac fly, a stolen base, a double, and a run scored. It'll be nice to see Eric tomorrow night on a hot streak.

An error on the CFer let a run score on that double. Harvey drives him home with an RBI single. Sisk goes to third on a basehit and error. Harvey scores. 4 unearned runs in the inning, 5-1 score.

Apparently the gym closed early on the eve of a holiday. :x

Oh my! Bacon scores all the way from first base on a Matt Murton RBI single. The Jaxx are still down 4-3 here in the bottom of the 7th.

The Chiefs blow it open. 9-3 after Larsens bases loaded, 2-run double. Harvey singled to load the bases and Patterson walked.

Wooo, I can't wait for the Chiefs game tomorrow. I'll be going to it as well and will be my 2nd Chief game this year!

We seem to see those two words together a lot more in minor league discussions than we do in the Game Threads section of the board

Ever been to the stadium in Geneva?

Eric with a another double and another run scored. Harvey drove him in with an RBI single.

No, the first one was down in Peoria.

What kind of seats did you get. I waited a bit to long, and didn't get box seats, but I'm behind home plate not directly more towards third.

In Peoria I had incredible seats, 5th row right behind where the Chiefs were dong there on deck swings.

I waited until less than a week ago, so I have reserve seats back and down the line a bit. Kinda deep third base.

Bah.

In the bottom of the 9th, Bacon leads off with a single, Greenberg strikes out swinging while Bacon steals second, Murton strikes out swinging and then McGehee lines in and out of the pitcher's glove. The pitcher then throws McGehee out at first. DJaxx lose 5-3. :(

I've been lucky with the Starting pitchers, I picked the first Chiefs game I went to because I was pretty sure it was going to be Gallagher, I just picked this one because of the 4th and it turns out its going to be Grant Johnson.

Patterson doubles again in the bottom of the 8th and makes a sparkling defensive play to end the game. 12-3 Chiefs.

The Kane County stadium is nice, and it's been packed both times I've attended. FYI -- the stadium gun is a couple of ticks slow, so don't be alarmed by lower readings. :)

Thanks for the heads up.

Can't wait to see Grant.

And easy on the homeruns, Richy.

Sam Fuld is just on fire now, too. 15-game hitting streak, and I think they said he was 14 for his last 27. He and Eric are making a nice combo for the Chiefs at the top of the lineup right now.

There was a feature article on him yesterday in the Peoria paper. Fuld caught the first pitches when Holden was in Peoria; he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes when he was 10.

Huh. Didn't know that. Nice article.

Fuld plays center field and majored in econ? What a loser...
