Man, when he said the fans were booing PCA because of the home runs he hit off them last year, and genuinely believed that.....I could only shake my head and laugh.

Even Boog who usually likes to embarrass him was speechless and said nothing.

99.5% of the time when a dumbass fan thinks they could sit in the booth and do better than a broadcaster, they're stupid wrong. But efforts like those of Sutcliffe is why fans sometimes think that.

I hear you, forums like this can be judgmental on just about everyone and everything, and specifically this site can be about as pointedly and aggressively so as any I've been on.  I myself am not past passing judgement so I can't be a hypocrite.

But the game broadcast is content most of us either directly or indirectly pay for - so commenting on it is fair game I think.  I certainly could not do it at a high level.  But, in the moment when he Sutt said it, my friend and I texted simultaneously - "did you just hear that"?

Oh I completely agree with you. I had the game on and had the same reaction. It's incredible how many elemental things Sutcliffe gets wrong when he's doing these games, and you can almost set your watch to them. I recall he also said something about how Sunday's game was reminding him of Friday's game when it was still 3-0 in the 4th or whatever it was, even though the performances of the respective LA pitchers in the 2 games had not been similar at all.

Why be accurate when you can just be drunk?
