I think this will be a fun thread, tell everyone your ideal makeup of the ultimate pitcher. The format is as follows

Body Type

L/R

Pitch One / Mph

Pitch Two / Mph

Pitch three / Mph

Pitch Four / Mph

Pitch Five / mph

here I go

Body Type: Prior

L/R: Lefty

Pitch One / 2 seamer 96 mph

Pitch Two / Curve 82 mph

Pitch three / 4 Seamer 98

Pitch Four / Knuckleball 72 mph

Pitch Five / Slider 90 mph

Same arm slot for all pitches.

This is prolly impossible, but hey you can dream right?

yeah lol

Ultimate pitcher is 100 mph fastball and a knuckleball

needs nothing else but control and he is the best in history i guarantee it

My dream pitcher would be a durable Pedro Martinez. Pitches all coming from the same motion, changes speeds nicely, and in his prime could over-power you with speen or finesse his way into the strike zone.

Agreed. Pedro was pretty crazy a couple of years ago when he was healthy.

I agree

How sick is a 95+ fastball and a knuckleball with the same arm slot.

its sick

Thank goodness for MVP 2005! :D

HAHAHA that is where i got the idea.

If someone could do it. That is the only chance to break some pitching records like wins over career/ season. also nolan ryans ks. as well as many thing

100mph Fastball

70 mph knucle would mess hitters up seriously.

The only problem with a 100mph fastball and 72mph knuckleball is that a batter can look for one or the other. The pitcher would be putting every bit of effort into his windup and delivery on the fastball and relaxing with a different grip on his knuckler. You could tell which one was coming every time out. Look at how Wakefield throws his 69mph fastball, he looks like he's lobbing it up there every time. The other thing is that 99% of pitchers have a 4-seamer as their primary pitch. The 2-seamer is rarely, if ever someones primary pitch. A knucklecurve would be an easier way to go about offsetting a heater fastball, ala Mussina & Isringhausen. I think the idea with the knucklecurve is that you can put a little more arm speed and torque on it to disguise it.

My friend unlocked Satchel Paige in MVP 2004. He has a 100 mph fastball, 70 mph knuckle, 65 mph palmball and an 80-something slider. I haven't gotten a hit off of him since last July.

My ultimate pitcher would have a 3000 MPH fastball. Try hitting that!

Who would this guy's catcher be?

Hmmm, i vote Jose Macias.

That was appropriately mean for a 666th post. Number of the Beast and all that, you know.

I nominate Todd Hundley to be this guy's personal catcher.
