Exactly. And for me, it takes a lot to notice the announcer. They are all fine but no one I tune in just to listen to. I tune in to watch a game. They are a necessary part of the telecast. Nothing more.

I mostly like the main duos the Cubs have used. Try watching the broadcast of almost any other team and you will quickly come to hate the announcers

This is absolutely true.  I don't think Cubs fans realize how lucky we've been over the years to have top notch booths.  Listening to the Reds, Cardinals, or just about anyone else is like fingernails on a chalk board.  Ham handed analysis and the corniest play by play schtick (Chip, I'm looking at you).

For many years, I had to watch all the Cubs/Reds games on the Reds feed, and that booth is brutal
