Should David Bote be on the active roster?

I saw a comment on a FB fan group which stated they thought David Bote should be on the active roster. Bote has had some great moments with the Cubs, and seems to be the man left out with the current players and roster. I don't see a path back to Wrigley for him in the near future.

Do you agree or disagree?

If you think he should be playing for the Cubs, as the person on the fan group argued, who does he replace?

Bote should be traded if they can find a taker.  It was a mistake when they gave him that contract.

Is he even on the 40 man roster anymore?  I don’t think he is, which makes it that much more difficult to call him up. He’s not hitting well enough at Iowa (relative to guys like Mervis and Young who are on the 40 man) to force the issue either.

Ya, he's not on the 40 man roster. I agree with you. I thought it was a stretch for someone to make the argument he should be on the active roster.

The same person thought they should send Suzuki to Iowa, so...

It's easy to say do this or that. I guess my main question was, if he were to be added to the 40 man or active roster, who do you remove?

The only person you could possibly make an argument for would be Wisdom. And even if Wisdom is a butcher in the field, he offers way more with the bat in the right match up
